Exciting news, I am starting a new passion project called @dresstosweat.tv it’s a nod to one of my fave but now defunct labels. I want D2S to be a long term home to electronic music storytelling. Starting out with some of my fave house records from 1997 following up with a short music documentary later this month. If you could like and follow the page I would be forever grateful x

RIP to to the king, Mr Deeon.

I wanted to wait a while to let the noise die down before posting. I owe a lot to Deeon; he was my first big booking at XOYO; at 26 years old, I had the honour of doing his first show outside of the US. To this day, it’s one of my favourite moments during my career.

Deeon was a true renegade, a loveable rogue, he musically coloured outside the lines. His sound is one that we will sorely miss in 2024. He made music with intensity and intent! It featured groove, dirt, soul, bounce, sex, sweat - pretty much everything that made me fall in love with House music. He also made music that spoke to both black and white audiences, which is hard to do.

I have no doubt his sound will live on and be pushed forward by younger generations. It is just too good, not too.

Great way to start the year! Mission complete.
It’s the furthest I have ever ran in one go 🎉… The first 20k was really fun, the last 4k was horrendous. Training was very stop start with all the injuries, looking forward to doing it again, this time in better shape come summer. by @nsfwray

Today is a good day, today NSFWRay is alive. I was asked by Lush to help curate and deliver a party in Brooklyn for Afropunk.

It’s a huge honour, I love Afropunk and it was a great opportunity for me to bring one of my favourite POC collectives 99 Ginger to NY to shut it down.

Alongside we have one of the staples of the black / queer New York scene Venus X and new comer Broodoo Rames. Plus Vanna, Dylan Ali and Eden. This is going to be huge, lmk if you are in town.

Love to Lush, Afropunk and 99 Ginger…

Today marks the day that Brian Nasty releases his song Time I leave, its his first release in two years and marks a great moment in his young career.

During the process of making this E.P he was thrown all kind of obstacles and even had to remake the whole ep.

I couldn't be prouder of the work he has created and his perseverance through the whole process. Plus to top it all, musically its one of the most exciting things I have listened to in Hiphop for ages.

As a debut record on Big Dada/Ninja Tune its impressive and I can’t wait for you to hear the rest of the music later this year!
