My Support System - they made all the difference! (*Insert Hubby and Daddy who were certainly with us virtually😂) Exactly one month ago, I graduated with an M.Phil. in English from the University of Ghana—a milestone I do not take for granted. My sister @nanaefya_phrempomaah also graduated with an M. Phil. in Counseling Psychology. It was a double celebration. Glory to God! 🥳🥳🥳This journey didn’t begin on solid ground. My program shifted unexpectedly from full-time, in-person study to virtual and part-time formats due to Covid 19 Lockdown. I faced setbacks, interruptions, and moments of doubt—some days I even felt like giving up.Yet, I completed it. Sorry, WE completed it. My amazing support system made all the difference! Mummy @mavisosafoadu , your faith in me reached my supervisor and kept him believing when I faltered. He told me all about it. Thank you ❤️🤗Daddy, thank you for insisting and ensuring I finish—those words propelled me. Thank you Daddy ❤️🤗 @joseph_osafo To my husband, @dr.elikem your steadfast belief, practical support and selfless sacrifices carried me through. You’re my rock. 🎯 You Become What You Consistently BeholdYesterday, my Netflix detox story sparked a powerful conversation in the Emeno WoG Community. Sisters began opening up about their own struggles—whether it’s social media, reality TV, or other distractions. That’s why today, I want to shine a light on something often overlooked but vital: guarding your gates—your eyes and your ears.📺 “You become what you consistently behold.”It might sound like a cliché, but it’s true.I love reality shows and documentaries—but one reality hit me:Every time I watched a show filled with foul language or heavy drama, those words and emotions began creeping into my own thoughts… until one day they slipped right out of my mouth.The Bible says, “Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.” Our hearts absorb what we behold—and if we consume things that tear us down, eventually they’ll show up in us.And it’s not just words. I’ve noticed my whole mood shifting—feeling sad, unmotivated, even depressed—after binge-watching a seemingly harmless show. It’s spiritual. The enemy uses our screens as doorways into our souls.🔐 Your eyes and ears are gates into your heart—don’t leave them unguarded.Just like Jacob used striped rods by the watering troughs and the breeding flocks bore striped offspring (Genesis 30:37–39), what we behold influences what we birth.Ask yourself:✨ What spirit is my screen exposure welcoming into my soul?✨ Am I cultivating peace, joy, purity—or piping in negativity and heaviness?Beloved, your screens, your playlist, your feed—they all matter.What’s entering today shapes what you become tomorrow.🙏 Your turn:🌺Share one thing you’re letting go of this week.Choose life. How Deleting Netflix Unlocked My Destiny 📱❌➡️📈In January 2025, I made a radical decision.I deleted Netflix from my phone.Not because movies are bad. But because I was entering a season of building, and I couldn’t afford distractions.I told myself,“If this is my year of purpose, I have to move differently.”And sis… it changed EVERYTHING. 🙌🏽✨In just 6 months, here’s what God helped me achieve:✅ I became a finalist in the Access Bank Womenpreneur Pitch-a-ton and won a FREE website for my business! (Check it out: emenoafrique.com)✅ I completed the ALX AI Career Essentials course and unlocked new digital skills✅ I finished 6 certifications in digital marketing through SDST 2025 and placed 2nd runner-up out of 200+ students!✅ I studied French 🇫🇷 with ICLR to improve my language skills✅ I applied for and got my dream job 🥹 (I’ll share more soon!)✅ I completed my M.Phil. in English and will be graduating this month! 🎓🎉The GLOW-UP was real. But here’s the truth most won’t tell you:It wasn’t just about deleting Netflix.It was about making room for God.Instead of binging shows, I fed my spirit:🎧 Listening to sermons📖 Studying the Word🙏🏽 Spending quality time in prayer and worshipI stopped letting screens steal my destiny.And the fruit? You’re a Story Still Unfolding 📖✨Your mistakes don’t define you.Your past doesn’t define you.Your trauma doesn’t define you.You know why?Because you’re a story still being written.And just like you can’t judge a character in chapter 9 of a 22-chapter novel… you can’t define your life based on a single season.🌱 3 years ago, I was confused—unsure who to date, overwhelmed by my master’s program, and desperate for clarity on my life’s direction.🌪️ 3 years before that? I was shattered. Heartbroken in ways words can’t explain. By the end of that year, I almost lost my life.But today?🙌 I’ve completed my MPhil.💍 I’m married to an amazing man of God.🚀 My career is soaring.💼 My business is thriving.💗 And my heart is overflowing with gratitude.If I had chosen to believe that “this is it” in my lowest moments, I would’ve missed out on the beauty God had planned for me.Jeremiah 29:11 wasn’t just a verse. It was my anchor:“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD. “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”Sis, if you’re in your chapter 9, hold on. ✨ The Mystery of Thanksgiving ✨In May 2025, I started a small but intentional habit that has transformed my life—keeping a gratitude journal. Every day, I write at least 5 things I’m thankful for.Inspired by a message from Teri Savelle Foy, I didn’t realize then what a spiritual weapon this simple act would become. 💥But sis, the results? 👇More peace.More clarity.A stronger mindset.A deeper sense of God’s presence.And yes, more MIRACLES! 🙌A few weeks ago, I shared a sermon at church titled “The Mystery of Thanksgiving”, and today I want to share the highlights with you, my IG family. 💛Here’s why gratitude isn’t just “nice”… it’s necessary:📌 1. Before You Say Yes… Read This 💍✨Growing up, my choices—especially when it came to relationships—confused a lot of people.The real shocker? Saying no to a real estate mogul who was a Christian too.But for me, love was never just:💘 Fall in love → 💒 Get married → 👶🏽 Have babies.No, sis. ✨Happy 50th Birthday, Mummy @mavisosafoadu ✨Unlike many other days, if I say I know what to say today, I’d be lying—because I’m simply overwhelmed by deep emotions as I reflect on our journey as mother and daughter. Watching people from all over the world celebrate you today brings me so much joy. I couldn’t be more thankful for your life Mummy. Many years ago, this moment—this picture of impact, honor, and legacy—couldn’t have been dreamt by anyone else. But you believed, you trusted God, and you held on. That’s why we are here today. To God be the glory. 🙏🏽You saw my worth when no one else did. You didn’t just believe in me—you believed God for me.
