Students in Ms. Barbara Blake’s COMD 279: Normal Language Acquisition class had the opportunity to observe firsthand how language develops during infancy as part of their clinical observation reports. By observing a 3-month-old and a 1-year-old, students were able to compare developmental differences and gain valuable insight into the progression of early language and communication skills.

We would like to thank the moms for taking the time to bring their little ones to class, giving our students this amazing opportunity! by @nsslha_nsu

Our NSSLHA members had the opportunity to learn from Ms. Dana Bourgeois, M.S., CCC-SLP, from the Center of Pediatric Therapy!

She taught about Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices and gave our members the chance to try an eye-gaze device.

Our members were able to get greater insight on AAC devices and gain hands-on experience in the field of speech-language pathology.
We would like to thank her for giving us her time, knowledge, and this amazing opportunity! by @nsslha_nsu
