Some additional roll out and graphic elements for @druid.ldn The seven graphic symbols were created using the letters which make up the word Druidry. They act as a nod to the seven gifts of Druidry which include; Philosophy and protection of the environment, connecting with nature, healing and rejuvenation, reaching creative potential and magic. Tying in with the brands regenerative approach to design and communicating their values of sustainability, creativity and balance. Each symbol will be used to represent a different arm of the business. Also inspired from Koch’s book of signs. New identity for @druid.ldn Druid is an ethical design and construction company based in London specialising in joinery and welding. The brands values centre on creativity, sustainability and utility. During my research phase I discovered the word carpenter derived from the Celtic Gauls. The word Carpentier (pertained of a cart or carriage) and the concept was born. Druidism was part of the Gaulish culture and central to Druid philosophy is harmony, connection and and reverence for the natural world as well as, creativity and craft. Perfectly in line with the brands values. The logo was created from Amador typeface combined with the head of a traditional Celtic Druid axe. Amador is a medieval-esque font which was inspired by Rudolph Koch.
