As temperatures continue to rise, we'd like to share some advice to help visitors stay safe while enjoying Clent during the hot weather.

💧 Bring plenty of water with you on your walk

🌅 If you can, visit in the morning when temperatures are generally cooler

🐶 Walking your dog? Avoid the hottest part of the day and aim for an early morning walk if you need to take them out. Remember to bring water for them too!

🧢 Dress for the weather – wear a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses and apply sunscreen

🌳 Please stick to the main paths and seek out shaded areas where you can

☀️ Take care in the heat and stay safe.

The shiny new ‘gator’ had its first outing with the Thursday Conservation Volunteers this week. Let’s hope it lasts 17 years like the last one!
The volunteers continued their work on the paths up from the Hill Tavern; clearing the brash and brambles, cutting overhanging branches, clearing drainage ditches and finally raking and sweeping the pathways to leave the area tidy after a full day's work. by @ntclenthills

It’s autumn on the Clent Hills and a good time to spot the different types of fungi growing here. Which ones have you seen? We’d love to see your photos.

A sunny work day last week for our Thursday Conservation volunteers by Adam’s Hill. And time to dig, scrape and generally clear the drainage channels, grills and sumps around the parking area by the Hill Tavern. Hard work, but good to get a job done! by @ntclenthills

The best stories aren't always found in books...

They're also shared on walks, over picnics, and during days out with grandparents.

Happy Grandparents day to those who inspire curiosity, share stories of the past, and those who always make the day extra fun. ❤️

What's your favourite family story or tradition passed down by your grandparents? Share them with us below, we'd love to have a read! by @ntclenthills

Today is the Autumn Equinox which marks the end of summer and beginning of autumn. It’s one of two points in the year when the Sun will illuminate the northern and southern hemispheres equally. Welcome to Autumn 🍂🍁🎃

Our Thursday Conservation Volunteers had a hard, but enjoyable away game a couple of weeks ago. A trip out to Cofton Hackett to clear a wire fence overgrown by a hedge around new trees. These have been planted there by the National Trust and Severn Trent Water to create a new woodland.
