American Nationals 🇺🇸🥈❌

Officially 1 year as a blue belt. Praise to God for the opportunity to be here and compete in Vegas. Had 3 fights in the gi with 2 submissions, and lost in the final in a very close fight by 2 points. Very happy with my performance and evolution, but disappointed with the result and i know I need to stay more focused and grounded.

2 fights in nogi, in a weight class where i was 11lbs under. Subbed my first and lost my second. Was able to display my game at a solid level, but not even close to being satisfied, i know i need to improve.

No excuses at all, i know what im capable of. Thank you to those in my corner, my professors, my team, and all those who believe in me. We will be back stronger🤙🏽❤️🔥🙏🏽

Yesterday, I competed in the IBJJF American National tournament once again. It’s always fun to see friends again, make new ones, and go to war alongside them.
I took second place, but I’m proud to be here and of the matches I fought; I battled hard until the very end. It’s going to be a busy summer, with more competitions and special moments with friends coming up soon.
Thanks for the support from everyone who helped me get there, especially Professor @sarah_galvao1 Professor @tencajj and @ntnrosa , thanks for being there to coach me. by @ntnrosa

IBJJF Worlds ❌

My first world championship did not go as I expected. I was able to win my first fight but lost my second fight to the champion of the division by 2 points. Im extremely disappointed because I know what im capable of, but very optimistic for the future exactly because I know what im capable of. It was a great experience to fight in the pyramid. Thank you to Jesus, My professors, my team, and my family. We will be back 👊🏽🚀

Meu primeiro campeonato mundial não foi como eu esperava. Consegui vencer minha primeira luta, mas perdi minha segunda luta para o campeão da divisão. Estou extremamente decepcionado porque sei do que sou capaz, mas muito feliz para o futuro exatamente porque sei do que sou capaz. Foi uma experiência incrível lutar na pirâmide. Obrigado a Jesus, aos meus professores, à minha equipe e à minha família. Estaremos de volta 👊🏽🚀
