À l'heure où une image se fabrique en quelques secondes, nous avions envie de ralentir et de confier notre univers à un regard, à une main, à une sensibilité.

Nous avons demandé à notre ami Erwan (@erwanrssl @piffevinaigre) d'imaginer Songes Parfumés à sa manière.

Il en est né une œuvre onirique, peuplée d'animaux, d'arches et de silhouettes organiques. Un monde étrange et familier, comme un songe dont on aurait oublié l'origine.

L'illustration a ensuite été imprimée en risographie, ce qui lui donne son grain, sa trame apparente et ses légères variations d'un exemplaire à l'autre. Elles seront offertes pour tout achat en boutique, jusqu'à épuisement.

À travers cette collaboration, nous voulions rappeler qu'une image peut encore venir d'une main et pas d'une machine.

Une petite boutique indépendante du Châtelain dans les pages de L'Officiel. Il y a quelques années, on ne l'aurait pas vu venir.

Merci à @celinepecheux et l'équipe @lofficielbelgium pour des échanges qui ont rendu l'exercice particulièrement agréable.

For my father.

We spend our whole lives waiting for our parents to be proud of us. I think it hits even harder when you're the eldest. But we rarely stop to think about the day it turns around. The day we have to be the ones who are proud of them.

Everyone carries their own battles. Today, I'm proud of the way my father faces his. His tenacity. His quiet selflessness, the kind he'd never call by that name.

So here they are. My father's six favorite fragrances, and a little of him in each one.

Guerlain Vétiver : The first scent I ever knew on him. The one that opened the door to vetiver for me, to all its green, aromatic facets. A timeless classic, and where everything started.

Creed Bois du Portugal : His first niche perfume. Elegant, aromatic, worn without ever making a fuss about it.

Naomi Goodsir Corpus Equus : His spaghetti western. He channels Clint Eastwood every single time he puts it on :-)

D'Orsay Jusqu'à toi : A no-brainer for him too. He loves its slightly aqueous edge and the way the vetiver evolves into something you don't smell anywhere else.

Tom Ford Grey Vetiver : His suit perfume. The one for the days he means business.

Omanluxury Serenity : His favorite from the house. He keeps it for autumn and winter, for those leathery, spicy facets that warm everything from the inside.

Six bottles, and somehow the whole man is in there.

Inspiration.

That's probably the first word that comes to mind when I think of Naomi Goodsir’s work. Inspiration with a capital "I," taken to its most demanding and uncompromising heights.

There's something profoundly romantic about releasing only six fragrances from 2012 to 2021. In an industry obsessed with rhythm, novelty, and constant presence, this restraint feels almost radical. Five years have passed since Corpus Equus, yet Naomi Goodsir has lost none of her radiance.

If anything, it feels like a quiet lesson. A reminder for those haunted by the fear of being forgotten that some creations aren't built for immediacy. They are built for permanence. And permanence does not fade.

I have my favorites in her collection, of course, and others that resonate with me more subtly. But there is always a vibration. A shared palette. A recognizable breath, a kind of mystical emanation that compelled me to gather the entire collection.

The raw warmth of burning wood.
A tuberose tinted with northern lights.
The pulsing ardor of an untamed animal.

Each chapter of Naomi Goodsir’s olfactory story moves me, not through excess or spectacle, but through integrity, patience, and unwavering devotion to beauty.

And perhaps that is the greatest luxury of all. by @ntscents

There’s just something about Acqua di Parma that you won’t find anywhere else.

I don’t know if it’s because I’m an epicurean, or because I’m hopelessly addicted to Italian scenery, but when an AdP is done right, it gives you the comforting feeling that you could happily wear nothing else for the rest of your life.

Of course, you can question the fear-of-missing-out mechanics of a limited edition, the ambitious price point, and the whole narrative around it. Fair enough.

Still, this Millesimato is, without hesitation, one of the most enjoyable fragrances I’ve smelled this year. It’s on me right now, and all I want is a boat, a house on Lake Como, and tailored suits 24/7.

Estrella de la Mañana @unenuitnomade
Smoky, bitter cacao powder and dark vanilla.
It feels like you're under a starry sky with a fire keeping the unknown wilderness at bay.

Eau de Californie @celine
This is the kind of fragrance I always return to.
Effortless elegance.

Barbicaja @maison.spoturno
It's the synthesis of all my Mediterranean summer nights, with the soft breeze carrying away the scent of jasmine and tuberose.

Châtelain 22 @regalienparfum
What can I even say? My safe haven.

Buio @meofusciuni_parfums
“The scent of someone aware of their inner darkness, yet still capable of spreading light.” A sui generis creation.

Aldebaran @marcantoinebarrois
This tuberose-paprika accord never ceases to fascinate me. A bold and unapologetic release.

Kakee @siam1928_fragrance
I'm very demanding when it comes to tuberose, but this one is just so beautiful. Animalic, smoky, and leathery.

Zurafa @sergelutens
Elegance in its purest form... a dream for iris and leather lovers like me.

Teapot Sonder @ode.ona
It has incredible finesse with hojicha and its puffed rice facets. My meditative fragrance of the year.

Strawberry Mochi @dannam.parfum
Who would have thought that I would one day fall in love with a perfume built around rice and sweet red bean paste? Yet here we are. :-) My comfort scent.

It's controlled power with an intoxicating sillage... the essence of Omani perfumery in a nutshell.

Rose Blaze @dorsayparis
My final crush of the year. Another remarkable work by @jordi_perfumer for D’Orsay. I find it genuinely hard to stop wearing it. by @ntscents
