I am so grateful for the both of you, and even more grateful that working together turned into real friendship along the way. Thank you for saying yes to this song with me.

OUT NOW!

When @iconoreoluwa introduced @saelemonly to me and I listened to his songs for the first time, I was blown away by his voice and the way he sings. The way he writes about the Christian experience is so real, poetic and relatable to real-world experiences.

So, when the idea for a song about losing faith, and confronting your beliefs, and finding hope came to my mind, and @iconoreoluwa mentioned him, it felt like a perfect fit.

And the first day I heard the demo, I cried. This was the first song we recorded on the project and it set the tone for what the project became.

At times in my Christian faith, my posture is like this. Questioning God as my father humbly about my predicaments, because I don’t understand what’s going on. My pastor @thedolapolawal will always say you can ask God questions, as Daddy, and he would give comfort and strengthen your faith.

If you have ever felt that way, this song is for you. To give you hope. To help you find back your faith. To help you find #SWEETNESS🍭

OUT MIDNIGHT!

I’ve been a little shy to post this… but shy people don’t get far. 😂

A few months ago, I had the privilege of getting on set and working on my first ever BTS project for @nuelbeatz ft @dwinthestoic

It was my first time working on a music set, and I’m genuinely grateful to my brother, @emyjaay , for the opportunity, and to Nuelbeatz for trusting me with the project before even seeing what I could do.

It was such a great experience.

P.S. It’s also such an amazing love song! If you haven’t listened yet, you need to rush to Spotify and listen to “Tell Me” by Nuelzbeatz ft. Dwin the Stoic & Sewa. 🎶

Some producers make music you hear. He makes music you feel. 🎧

From church drums at seven to crafting rich, soulful sounds, his production is built on emotion, texture and a deep love for detail. 🖤

Introducing Nuel Beatz; Producer & Sound Architect. by @nuelbeatz

I knew Nuel Beatz (@nuelbeatz) through a mutual long before our first Digital Escape Africa music camp, where he was the lead producer and everybody’s quiet advantage. That camp was the first thing we actually built together. He has spent years making other people’s records feel like something. “Tell Me” is the first one that is entirely his.

I asked him about the line where he admits he has been the guy who said he would call and then did not call. I expected a confession. What I got was the gist of a room full of people laughing, trading talking stage stories, and accidentally writing the most honest thing on the record.

Two choruses. Two different questions. The men asking for somebody who will not leave when it gets hard. The women asking for somebody’s time and full attention. Nobody planned that.

Full feature is live on the Escape blog. Check bio.

And if you have been typing and deleting the same message for three weeks, this song is the push. Send it.

Some feelings are easier to sing than to say❤️‍🩹

On Tell Me, @dwinthestoic , @askaboutsewa and @nuelbeatz lean into vulnerability, delivering a heartfelt record that captures the uncertainty, hope and honesty of love left unspoken.

With soulful melodies and emotionally rich storytelling, the trio reminds us that sometimes the hardest words to say are the ones that matter most.
