A couple weeks ago Numbskull sent me a whole box of gear to give away at Copper’s hike park. But I didn’t give it to the best skiers.

I gave it to anyone who was trying something new. Didn’t matter your age. Didn’t matter your ability. If you were pushing yourself out of your comfort zone, you earned it.

Here’s what I believe. Judging people based on where they’re at in this sport is one of the dumbest things we do. That kid trying his first 180 is fighting the same fear you felt going for your first backflip. Same doubt. Same courage.

So instead of judging, hype each other up. Push each other to try the next trick. Cheer for the one who’s scared and sends it anyway.

That’s why I roll with Numbskull. They don’t care how good you are. They care that you’re out there trying, growing, showing up as your full self. That’s the culture we’re building together.

Nobody cares how good you are in the park. They care that you’re trying.
