I was never someone who always knew she wanted to be a mom. For the longest time, I wasn’t sure if I wanted kids at all.

And now I’m standing at the aquarium watching him point at fish, thinking about how he’s seeing all of this for the first time. Getting to watch him discover the world is literally the most magical thing.

We celebrated our honey boy yesterday 🍯

I still can’t believe he’s almost one. Who would’ve thought my momma strings would be absolutely destroyed during his Happy Birthday song, but there I was… unwell!

Being a mom is the coolest thing. You get to watch this tiny baby become their own little person, and somehow you fall more in love every single day.

I know he won’t remember this birthday, but we will. And getting to celebrate him with so many people who love him made it even more special.

So grateful for my mom for making the most incredible desserts, food, and cake, and for everyone who helped us bring it all together.
We’re so grateful for our village.
