So concludes the first batch of my Soul Drinkers Stormhost, shrouded in the gloom of Shyish, hunting Soulblight vampires in defense of the vassals of the God-King! I’ve got two more batches waiting for detailed brushwork but I’m so tempted by the new dragons sitting under my Christmas tree!!!

I give you Lord-Commander Bastian Carthalos - another Stormcast done up in my Soul Drinkers inspired scheme, hunting the undead in Shyish. This was part of a larger batch that’s also nearing completion but I couldn’t wait to just finish the main man!

I’m back and still fluorescent! Getting into the Halloween spirit I figured I would finish off these undead legends! Took the summer off, got into some other trouble, slowly coming back to painting. No new units here just finishing up the entire list. About 2400pts.

Finished the first of my Black Knights and a Wight King to lead them! Inching closer to completion on this project. Intentionally quick and basic on these guys - speedy and spooky!

“There’s one thing about living in Santa Carla I never could stomach… all the damn vampires…”

Sometimes you just need a good vampire hunting duo to take on all these Soulblight. Lock and load, ven Densts! Allies for my Knight Cenotaph Stormhost.

A quick Vargskyr from Cursed City to mock up a scheme for the bats and beasties for my Soulblight Gravelords. Couple hours work and I think he’s pretty effective…

After stalling out on these for a bit I decided to hang them up for now. They’re playable and I can always go back and finish up all the details later. So I wanted to post before I tucked them away.

Sometimes ya just stall out on a project and it’s best to walk away and do something else for a while!

Finished! Starscream is my main man from Generation 1. This was a fun kit. A real palate cleanser and a new challenge for me - building and painting something designed to move. Check the last image to see the original sprue color. I think mine is a big improvement. In time, I’ll be adding more details by brush and maybe some battle damage.
