Meet Jocelyn Almaraz (@nurseeejo ), Nurse.org's 2026 Best New Nurse Creator. 👏

She's a Dallas OR nurse, a first-generation Latina, and a toddler mom who started making "silly little videos" to cope with burnout as a new nurse. Seven years, robotic surgeries, trauma cases, and a whole community later, that leap paid off.

Right out of nursing school she went straight into the OR, even after people warned her she'd "lose skills." She didn't listen, and she has zero regrets.

Her advice to every new grad who feels lost right now: "It's never too late to try something new. If you feel like you don't like nursing, you just haven't found your spot yet."
