Charlie boy was my best friend. All those years solo on the farm though I had 30 other animals. Having this boy with me everywhere I went outside of work is what truly got me through those times..

From the farm to the mountain to the coffee shop and hundreds of miles hiked never without a leash cuz he was just that good.. We've had a lot of amazing dogs in our lives from Florida to Tennessee and I've loved every one of them the same, but this boy right here was truly my best friend. These last few years sadden me that much more as Charlie was too weak to make it out to Knoxville or to spend as much time together with me working so much more, but he would always get himself up no matter how much he struggled to make sure that he made his presence known to me and to get his lovin before anyone else got my attention. Truly man's best friend!

Charlie and Bob will be missed every day. They were best buddies together till they were both bed bound together! I know these two boys will certainly be in heaven waiting for us with the rest of our pack! That's how Charlie got his name. All dogs go to heaven! I was thinking about putting that audio in the end of this reel But I wasn't able to keep it together. Nope... Good ole dogs and God. No two better things for us to all have in our lives to help us get through our day!

It's with an extremely heavy heart that I had to lay to rest two of my boys today. Charlie & Bob. Two amazing dogs that have lived an amazing life. Bob was somewhere between 18 and 30 we don't know and Charlie around 16..

Charlie was originally brought to us as a foster for a friend out of jellico and within a day we ended up making him ours.. Charlie had as guilty of a conscience as I did and was terrified of me his first year and then him and I both broke our foot at the same time and we were cooped up together and my parents room and in that time together we bonded and he never left my side until I moved out to Knoxville to finish nursing school..

Though most of my pictures are of Charlie, Bob was no less loved. Bob was a special boy. When he showed up we were maxed out at about 17 dogs on the farm & to a point that my dad told me to drive him down to the end of the mountain road in the hopes that he would find his home because he looked too healthy and was too well mannered to be a stray. Well sure enough Bob shows back up on our farm like an hour later frolicking with joy and that is why he got the name Bob from one of our favorite movie "What about Bob". You just couldn't get rid of him lol

Bob just wanted to sit in your lap and love you till the end of time with his horrific breath and even till his last moment would follow any person into the kitchen if he thought food was a chance and Charlie never left my side unless of course there were kids out on the farm and then he became their companion and I was non-existent as he was the most loyal companion to every child that came on that farm and every parent knew as long as Charlie was with them they were safe.

It was heartbreaking to have to let them both go today. It's never easy to let go of these amazing animals that are such a huge part of our lives and sadly not in our lives as long as we need them. But they give everything they have every day in there short lives to show us love. by @nursesaxonz

Happy Nurses Week to all my fellow nurses out there! Keep doing great things. Going 16 years strong. No matter the difficult times that we endure in this line of work, I truly love what I do. 10 years as an LPN and now 6 years as an RN

Rotate screen!

Sat on the back of my bungalow sipping beer watching this epic storm rool in! Caught a time-lapse of it! So much lightning! Cut it off minutes before a damn monsoon hit. The rain and wind hit so hard so fast it damn near knocked me out of my chair!
