NURSING, A SERVICE TO HUMANITY.

Serving others is the hallmark of true Christianity. The Bible is a detailed documentation of Jesus Christ’s dedicated service to others and he also encouraged his followers to do the same.

When you help others there are blessings attached to it, also by helping others, we show our love to God. Matt 24:40

You say you love God and you are not helping others, Nursing colleagues, Nooooooo.

You have a Neighbour who is sick and because you are not in good terms with the neighbour you formed ignorance and decided to leave your neighbour to suffer and you call yourself a Nurse.

For the fact that you know your Neighbour is sick, that calling in you, that passion for the sick should be awakened.

**Service to humanity**

The Bible says be at peace with all men.

As a nurse are you been biased, because you are a Christian and there is a Muslim worshipper that seeks your counsel and because of that you did not give him/her audience.

God did not call us into this profession to be biased.

We shouldn’t allow our emotions take the better part of us.

Nursing is a service to humanity.

NURSING IS A MINISTRY 2

A midwife once said nursing is a ministry because taking a delivery means doing a deliverance. Delivery👉🏼Deliverance. Many things happen in hospitals that we think it is normal which is not, with the help of the holyspirit and discernment, we know something isn’t right. All nurses need to be spiritual,as a Nurse we need the holyspirit.

Midwifery is another Ministry that requires discernment. There is a story one of my Nurse mentor told me, There was a pregnant woman who came in with strong contraction and Dilation was 8cm, what the midwife should be expecting is the baby’s head down and baby should come out, but No the baby’s head was stocked.

With the help of the holyspirit she left the labor ward and on getting to the reception she met the mother in-law and told her to stand up, go home and bring somethings for the mother that she has delivered a baby boy.

she looked surprised and quickly stood up from her seat. Then a small mannequin wrapped with a red clothe dropped, the midwife asked her what was that she couldn’t talk and the midwife asked her to release the mannequin. Before the midwife left the reception to the labor ward, she heard the cry of the baby. The Woman delivered.

Philippians 1:6: Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

The story is deep right yes, that’s how serious being a Midwife and A Nurse is. A midwife A Deliverer. A Nurse is a Nurser( lol)
We see without discernment she wouldn’t have delivered the woman from the Oppressed.

Nursing is a Ministry. We work for God. Our purpose is to deliver, nurses are teachers, intercessors, Prayer warriors.
1 Corinthians 15:58: Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

We need God, we need the holyspirit. We need to be led. I pray God will direct us in Jesus name.
We will not miss it in Jesus name.

NURSING IS A MINISTRY 1

Nursing I will say is a CALLING.Nursing is an Art and also a Science. Nursing is a ministry on its own. Nursing is something you do with your whole heart. Nursing means believing.( A patient walked in with pains, the nurse cared for the patient and was healed. Is not that the patient can’t stay at home and take drugs but they believe that when I get to the hospital and this nurse takes care of me I am healed.)
As people believed in the healthcare system so we should have something we believe in.
What we believe in works for us(My dad use to say).
Nursing is Spiritual
Nursing is Psychological
Nursing is Emotional
Nursing is Physiological

Nursing is a Ministry.
As nurses we stay more with the patients, we should always ask God for the gift of healing because we need it. Without starting med for the patient, we just laying our hands on them, they are healed. How will it be if all Nurses in Nigeria can raise the dead. They brought in a person dead(BID) and as a nurse you lay your hand and the person came back to life.

**Nursing is a ministry**

Hebrews 6:10: For God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love which you have shown toward His name, in having ministered and in still ministering to the saints.

Nurses are angels in white
Nurses are the heart of healthcare
Nurses are warm-hearted
Nurses are caring
Nurses are teachers
Nurses are Health Educator
Nurses are advocates
Nurses spend 24hrs with patients
Nurses should be celebrated, Nurses should be respected.

What a person says about a nurse doesn’t matter, what is your own view about nurses.

A nurse did something outrageous doesn’t mean all nurses are the same. Nurses are humans too, we can make mistakes too, but not a mistake that will cost one’s life .
