Happy Bornday to The Greatest
RiP! Sean Price. @seandabarbarian single handedly kept Hip Hop alive for me through all the Big Willie, Lean'n & Rock'n, Codeine & Fruity Bullshit mainstream radio & tv tried to shove down our throats. P! Truly never Gave a single Fuck. This Legend never compromised his ART for fame or fortune. Never switched up for a buck, never made songs with R&B singers for radio play. Which lead to the Era of Real Mcs we're blessed with today. Showed the world you can get paid & respected by being true to yourself, without selling out to a label & being forced to follow the latest trends. P! put me on to everyone I listen to now. My Favorite MC since 96' My personal A&R since 2005. You had to work with him to catch my attention. For that I'm forever grateful. Everything pictured above is how I say Thank You. Big up to @bernadettealwayshumble for carrying on his legacy like a true Queen. All your efforts are extremely appreciated 🙏🏽 If ya love P! Then buy up as much music & merch as you can to support the one's He loved the most. Thank you to everyone that had something to do with everything posted. Especially my Bros @cxppington & @squatdeadface for the amazing art pieces.
One.

April 2025 on my 2nd trip back to Colombia. I got an opportunity to see my girlfriend perform live. She had a gig at a place called @lakzonaeslazona As as supporter of underground Hip Hop in NY, I was hyped to witness what the underground Hip hop scene in Bogota looked & felt like. Seeing it through the phone wasn't enough. It was so raw & pure. It felt like NY in the late 80's earlier 90's, when I fell in love with Hip Hop. Before record labels turned a postive culture into a business of negativity for financial gain. People who looked liked regular patrons 1 by 1 got up & started performing. I got to see a few local hip hop artist get on the mic & spit. Then my shorty got one the 1's & 2's & did her thing. It was dope to finally see her in her element. She did her thing & I was in awe & super proud of the woman I knew I was going to end up marrying one day. She played a variety of super underground Hip-Hop along with classics from The Mobb & Wu. Some songs I haven't heard in decades, even then probably once on The Stretch & Bobbito show. Needless to say I was having a blast, fully immersed in the moment. Trying to take it all in.

After she was done the owner/founder of the establishment. A gentleman named Alberth gave us a tour of the place. Bruh......what at 1st looked like a cool little bar with small stage, was actually just the entrance of the Historic Cultural Academy for Music & Art he was building. There was a bigger main stage for concerts. Art & dance studios, recording booths/radio stations etc all in cased in an art gallery. The place was covered in it from top to bottom. Its was a place of positivity where the youth can come & work on & learn crafts. I never seen nothing like it in my life. It was like a Hip Hop Xmen Academy & this kind & humble gentleman was It's Charles Xavier. You could tell He was very passionate about his work, his face smiled & lit up with excitement while talking about how he wanted to help & inspire his community. When the tour was over I thanked him for the hospitality & giving me a memory/experience I would never forget. I knew how rare it was. I was 2500 miles from where I rest my head & yet felt like I was home. taken in Bogota, Colombia by @nut_tapes

I haven't been to church in almost 2 years when I went to a P! Memorial show.

4/20 Sunday was very much needed & one for the books. Before The Roc Marci Show At Sobs I went to see Uncle @alanthechemist put on a dope pop-up show, playing some 🔥 old school songs & some of his classics. After performing at The Billy Awards the night before, he still came through @staplepigeon and rocked for over an hour 🙏🏼 🫡 To see this master of his craft do his thing up close was a fn honor. Big up to @staplepigeon & @remainraw for hosting a classy & classic event. These are just some of the videos I took. taken in Mercer Street by @nut_tapes

@kgrfilms Kool G Rap apperication post. I felt hearing his verse on Frankie Cutlass's "Know The Game" today. The joint on DJ Frankie Cutlass album that featured Him & Mobb Deep. One if the many features were he would body anyone else on the track, like MJ schooling the young'ins that he inspired & looked up to the him as their 🐐. That lead me down his catalog & I was reminded on how much better he was spitting than everyone then & now. Especially at story telling.

People always mention Cube, Biggie, Scarface etc & rightfully so. But you can't leave Giancana out the conversation. Shit These tapes might as well be DVD's & VHS tapes. He was spitn fn 🎬🎥 on all these albums. Whether Hood tales or Mob stories. All these albums are like Crime Dramas woven in a rhyme pattern of rapid fire bars. My fav album is probably "Roots Of Evil" He was on some Mario Puzo shit on that album.

This verse in the post was premium battle rap shit and my favorite out of all his features.
