It was an honour and a privilege to attend The National Diversity Awards last night at the magnificent Liverpool Anglican Cathedral.

These awards give the marginalised, the forgotten and the unheard a voice.

Nutritious Minds Trust Charity 🍓 was shortlisted from an incredible 85,000 nominations to just 10 finalists in the Community Organisation Award for Age category. While we didn’t win, we were absolutely thrilled for Living Without Limits and Chantelle Hayles — and particularly touched when she so generously said that this award was for all of the nominees.

Many people running charities do so selflessly. This is not paid work. It is hours and hours of labour, often with very little funding, very little recognition and fierce competition for the resources that are available.

But the biggest reward is knowing that, somewhere along the way, you have made a difference to someone’s life.

I have often wished I could personally do more. When I set up Nutritious Minds Trust Charity, I had dreams of all the work I wanted us to do and all the people I wanted us to reach.

The reality is that you can only do what you can do with the time and resources you have. And every person helped matters.

So today I celebrate every charity and every individual who won an award, was nominated or stood on that stage last night. Thank you for the incredible work you do.

We need people like you.

People who are different.
People who are outspoken.
People who are prepared to speak up against inequality, discrimination, oppression, racism and the barriers faced by disabled people.

People who refuse to stay silent when something is wrong.

Thank you again to the incredible Nutritious Minds Trust Charity 🍓 team: Hayley, Mel, Andy, Estelle, Nat, and all of our volunteers; wonderful ambassadors; support groups; our trustees, Mike and Natalie, Coco, + my partner Matt for being my biggest supporter.

A huge thank you to every single person who nominated us. To be recognised in this way, and to know that so many of you believe in the work we are doing, means more than you know. ❤️

👩🏻‍💼I don’t do this work because neurodivergence or brain health is trending on social media — I do it because I’ve lived it, researched it, and studied for over 15 years. I’m a scientist, lecturer in psychology, nutritional neuroscientist, researcher, author, and founder of Nutritious Minds Trust Charity — and I’m also part of a neurodivergent family.

🙋🏻‍♀️ My work sits at the intersection many systems still fail to connect: neurodivergence, education, brain (“mental”) health, nutrition, psychology, and child behaviour. I focus on what actually changes outcomes — grounded in evidence, lived experience, and real-world application, not trends or soundbites.

🔎 If you’re looking to collaborate, consult, or host a conversation with someone who brings depth, credibility, authenticity, and long-term commitment to this field, this is the work I’ve dedicated my life to and I would love to hear from you.

🫶🏼 FEEDBACK PLEASE! If you have read this far, please tell me any of the following: how we met, something about you, why you follow this page and what you would love more of in 2026! xo 💋

So excited to announce my new role as Lecturer in Psychology in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience, Centre for Clinical, Social and Cognitive Neuroscience (CSCN), at City St George’s, University of London!

I’m so looking forward to this next chapter, meeting new colleagues and students, and bringing my passion for psychology, neuroscience and neurodivergence into my teaching.

🫶🏼 YOU are the heart and soul of NeuroBloom!

🎞️ Looking through these wonderful photographs of our NeuroBloom 2026 audience reminds us exactly why we do what we do.

🗓️ Almost a year of careful planning goes into bringing each NeuroBloom conference to life. As a small charity, we work incredibly hard to keep ticket prices affordable, offering significant discounts to those receiving Universal Credit, pensioners and students. We also give away a small number of complimentary tickets, because although NeuroBloom is a fundraising event, we never want financial circumstances to prevent someone from being part of our community.

💷The reality is that our events don’t always generate a profit. Our founder, Dr Rachel V. Gow, does not take a salary for her work with Nutritious Minds Trust, aside from reimbursement of reasonable travel expenses.

👥Yet, year after year, we do it all again! Why? Because we see the friendships formed, the conversations sparked, the knowledge shared and, most importantly, the joy, connection and sense of belonging that NeuroBloom brings to our wonderful neurodivergent community.
Our attendees are not simply an audience. You are the reason NeuroBloom exists.

🎟️To everyone who bought a ticket, attended, supported, donated or helped spread the word, THANK YOU. We hope you left feeling inspired, understood and part of something special. Shout out to @acv.drink and @betteryou_ltd for sponsoring the speaker drinks

👩🏻‍💻And don’t forget! Subscribe to our new website for the chance to WIN TWO complimentary tickets to NeuroBloom 2027! https://www.nutritiousminds.org

🎙️We’re already looking ahead to next year! If there’s a speaker you’d love to see on our stage, we’d love to hear your nominations. If you are interested in sponsoring NeuroBloom or hosting a marketing stand, please do get in touch.

🛍️Our events sell out quickly, and with only around 10 marketing stand opportunities, we encourage you to register your interest early!

🧠🌸 With love and gratitude from all of us at Nutritious Minds Trust Charity xo 💋

🪷 Busy brains deserve a moment of calm

🧠🌸 At NeuroBloom, our conferences are about more than the science. We understand the importance of emotional regulation within our neurodivergent community, which is why we always include at least two wellness activities throughout the day.

🧘🏼‍♀️From sound baths and meditation to breathwork and laughter yoga, these much-welcomed moments offer space to pause, soothe the soul and find a little stillness. They can help us feel calmer, more grounded and ready to enjoy the rest of the day—and they’re one of our favourite parts!

💡Did you know? @nutritiousmindsclinics can bring emotional regulation practices directly to your home? Visit www.nutritiousmindsclinic.com to book a discovery call with Heidi or Emma and explore the support available.

🙋🏻‍♀️ Which activity would you love to experience at our next NeuroBloom?

🙋🏻‍♀️ If you could put one conversation on the NeuroBloom stage, what would it be?

🎬 These film highlights from NeuroBloom 2026 give you a glimpse of the day, from nutritional psychiatry and brain health to creativity and the personal experiences behind the expertise.

👉🏼 Now we would love your input. What deserves more attention next time: support after diagnosis, neurodivergent women, nutrition, education—or something we haven’t explored yet?

👩🏻‍💻 Share your topic below. Nutritious Minds are particularly interested in the conversations you feel deserve more attention xo 💋

🎥 Thank you to FilkFolk for capturing the day so beautifully.
