FRAGILE
Per anni ci siamo raccontati di vivere dentro strutture solide. Abbiamo chiamato solidità le istituzioni, l'economia, il progresso. Abbiamo costruito grattacieli, reti globali, mercati, algoritmi. Abbiamo imparato a misurare tutto, prevedere tutto, controllare tutto. O almeno cosi credevamo. Poi basta una crisi, una guerra, una paura collettiva. Basta avvicinarsi un po. E cio che da lontano appariva coem pietra rivela la sua vera natura: cartone. Non c è nulla di scandaloso nella frafilita. Lo scandalo è l'ostianzione con cui continuiamo a travestirla da forza.

Nuuco, ci racconta della sua opera Plastic Free.

È partita da un gesto concreto: raccogliere oltre 300 kg di plastica da una spiaggia.
Poi la scelta: non nascondere, ma mostrare. Non pulire soltanto, ma trasformare.
Una rete a strascico, simbolo di distruzione, diventa struttura,
diventa ferita visibile.

La plastica raccolta diventa opera d'arte.

Senza distanza. Senza reazione. Asciugamani stesi accanto a tutto questo.
Senza distanza. Senza reazione.

L’opera non è la plastica. È ciò che accade intorno.

“La crítica social es el pilar fundamental de mis proyectos artísticos. La minuciosa investigación de las fuentes documentales, junto con la transformación del concepto en obra de arte, es un proceso que, a mi parecer, derriba el conformismo y la hipocresía de los salones.
La instalación se presenta como un mosaico contemporáneo en un espacio que promueve la libertad artística. Una iluminación experiencial en un contexto social secundario. La penumbra de la exposición reflejaba la oscuridad de la relación entre la mafia y el Vaticano.
Las obras que componen la instalación reflejan tres elementos comunes: el bautismo, y por tanto el derecho divino; el lujo como representación del status quo y, por último, el blanqueo de dinero como poder material sobre la tierra.”

El hilo perfomance done in 2019 in #chiesasanmatteodelcassaro #palermo. It is easy for us change city or country in Europe. Take a fly and go for a week abroad and then came back. We are privileged more then other people that to came in #europe should spend all the money they have, cross 4/5 african borders and then the sea. Image you move with your best friends and all of them died while crossing the desert or go in deep of the sea. That's the true! Muy frágil is the name of the installation commissioned by @artbanchel in 2019 in collaboration with @marcelomenstudio. It shows a number of boxes around a room. Each box rapresents an element of our social system (planet, economic, crisis etc) that all togheter look solid. Actually they are very frágil (subrime, pollution, democracy etc).
