Leadership, Service and Impact: My Journey as the First Female Elected Faculty President, NAAS, University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

Being elected to lead the Agricultural Students' constituency was both a privilege and a significant responsibility. As the first woman elected to the position, I understood the importance of not only representing students but also demonstrating that leadership should be inclusive, accountable and impact-driven.

Under my leadership, the 2022/2023 NAAS Administration focused on human resource development, student welfare, improved learning conditions and environmental development. Working with my executive team and other stakeholders, we implemented several initiatives, including:

• Improved learning facilities by repairing lecture tables, chairs and fans to create a more conducive learning environment.
•Restored lighting in faculty lecture halls after a prolonged period of blackout.
•Repaired and restored access to faculty toilet facilities, contributing to improved sanitation and a cleaner academic environment.
•Repaired and reintroduced the lecture hall microphone and sound system, improving communication during lectures and academic activities.
•Organised NAAS Cultural Day, reviving an event that had not been held for a considerable period and promoting student inclusion and cultural expression.
•Hosted an Agro-Exhibition Day, providing students with an opportunity to showcase agricultural talents, skills and innovations.
•Facilitated scholarship awards, with support from #CoscharisFarms Ltd, to contribute to students' educational development.
•Organised online seminars and lectures focused on leadership, agriculture and personal development.
•Hosted an inclusive Faculty Week, with deliberate engagement and orientation of newly admitted students.

One of the highlights of my tenure was seeing the Vice President and Deputy Speaker of the Students' Union Government University of Nigeria Nsukka emerge from the Faculty of Agriculture constituency, reflecting the leadership potential within the community I represented.
