Studio Sessions: This is what candidly goes down in the lab. I come in, express my ideas, link up with my go-to... then he starts mixing the track out of order 😆!

In all seriousness, an artist needs chemistry with their engineer. There's intuition that goes into mixing and mastering vocals and instrumentals.

Most times before my 1st session, I have my lyrics completely written with a melody in mind. And this is a snippet of the inner workings.

"Position" available Friday 9/3/21!

As promised, here's my latest cover of Prince Royce's "Curame". That's my twin brother right here! You can really see our striking resemblance 😆. Now I'd like to point out that this is the 1st time EVER that I've posted a singing video in Spanish! All of you, my supporters, get to hear it here and now and I couldn't be more happier to share it exclusively with you 🙏. To share my Ecuadorian heritage and a lil trivia with y'all, Curame in English is translated as Heal Me. Music is the universal language of our world, and its amazing to see how beautifully a song can be written in another language. One love ✌ - NX

Got you guys with another one! Love 90s Brandy. She has a ton of swaggg. U Don't Know Me (Like U Used to) was a track produced by the one and only Rodney Jerkins. He's one of the greatest to ever do it. The topic of relationships is a tricky subject, even for the ones your tryna build with no ties to em. In this instance, the lyrical arrangement I put together is based on a true story. Every artist strives for authenticity and when others resonate with it, it can be magical ✌💯

Ladies and gentleman...here's another cover song for you this week! I'm changing it up with an acoustic take on David Guetta and JB's song "2U". For me, there's an intangible quality performing acoustic covers. Not only is it stripped down to a piano accompaniment, it allows me to feel and find my element more naturally when navigating through the song. Acoustic takes have a special place in my heart as well as in my art. My motto has always been to keep it 💯 for my supporters and to be as unconventional and original as I possibly can. Hope everyone tunes in and appreciates what I intend to convey through my art! I encourage you to tap that ❤, leave comments and if you're really feeling the kid, send me DMs 😁. My door is always open. Your here for me so I'll be here for you. Deuces ✌

I must admit, my goal to post a cover song each and every week has been a challenge. With my eyes set on a dream envisioning no end in sight, I'll do the unthinkable to get it right and to continually commit to my supporters 🙏. While I was deciding my next cover song...I came across this fantastic piano arrangement of Usher's "U Got It Bad". Normally covered as an R&B arrangement with guitar elements, I was aiming to go about Usher's magnum opus in an unconventional way. This idea got me hooked, to sing my heart out and assure you I'm here to stay. NX ain't going nowhere 👌. As always, enjoy my latest cover and put those headphones on for the best experience. Like, comment, hit me with a DM, send pics (let's keep it PG 😉) and check out my stories for the latest! ✌
