As the beautiful children of Queensbridge begin their first full week of school, we’re incredibly grateful to have been able to help them start off the year strong with FREE backpacks and school supplies! 🎒📚❤️ Queensbridge Houses is the largest public housing development in the Western Hemisphere & is home to generations of families and a community with an iconic history. Being able to pour back into my hood and invest in our children means everything to us. This initiative was a collaborative effort between @Victory.In.Puerto.Rico & @V.I.P.NYC, and we want to thank every member of both organizations who donated and helped ensure its success! We also want to give a special thank you to @WhyNotCareMore for their continued support and contributions throughout the years. 🇵🇷 NJ March for Independence | 8.29.2026 📸 @nycvibes21 This year we chose to march in NJ. While Boricuas on the island marched for independence, marched in defense of the land, we were here; in the states, doing the same. Putting out a signal of solidarity; a signal of unity. The fight for Puerto Rico must reach across all cities, and all states in which the diaspora lives. As this is written, our people are still rationing water, are still facing constant black outs, and are STILL fighting to protect sacred land; fighting to keep what is rightfully theirs. We must join in with them. And as we do, we must also continue to build; our communities, our message, our service… because no one is coming to save us. We are who we’ve been waiting for. What we choose to do now, will having lasting effects for generations to come. #ElPuebloSalvaAlPueblo #esencianova #puertorico🇵🇷 …None of us are free unless we’re all free… ¡Viva Puerto Rico Libre! 🇵🇷 ¡Viva Palestina Libre! 🇵🇸 Sign the petition: ¡Esencia No Va! This past Saturday, organizations and activists from New Jersey and New York came together to MARCH FOR PUERTO RICAN INDEPENDENCE in solidarity with marches across the country and back home in our motherland Puerto Rico, we stood together for LIBERATION! Our people are tired. THE TIME FOR REVOLUTION IS NOW! 🔥 Here is a flick of a few of the attendees who stayed behind after this powerful day of marching, rallying, and Bomba y Plena. More pictures and videos coming soon! ¡QUE VIVA PUERTO RICO LIBRE! 🇵🇷✊🏽 📸: @nycvibes21 by @nycvibes21
🇵🇷 NJ March for Independence! A call to the diaspora in defense of our land, our culture, our history, and our legacy. THE TIME IS NOW. ¡PUERTO RICO NO SE VENDE, PUERTO RICO SE DEFIENDE! ¡ESENCIA NO VA! #puertorico Sign the petition: ¡Esencia No Va! Link in bio. #esencianova by @nycvibes21
📍Santo Domingo, Peñuelas 💛💜 So grateful we were able to donate supplies to our good friends of the Junta Comunitaria Santo Domingo En Acción. BIG THANK YOU to everyone who donated to our fundraiser! Because of you, we were able to provide water, pampers, bed pads & pantry supplies for the elderly community they serve daily. Much love to @theboricollective & @mipatria.pr for adding pampers, solar lights & sanitizing soap to the contribution. This community regularly goes hours without water, power, and cell phone service everyday, not just during emergencies, but throughout the year. These are daily realities on the westside of the island that are not often acknowledged. Yet they continue to adapt, organize, and remain resilient for the elderly community they serve. VIPR is always proud when we connect organizations to one another, build bridges, and strengthen the networks our people can depend on when the government fails us. And of course, much love to the Junta Comunitaria for always feeding us GOOD when we come through! 😂❤️ We take care of each other. We build for each other. EL PUEBLO SALVA AL PUEBLO!!! ✊🏽🇵🇷 #WeGotUs by @nycvibes21
📍Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico 💙❤️ Behind us is the land the Reuben Brothers, Three Rules Capital, JP Morgan Chase, and other powerful interests hope to destroy to turn into Esencia, a massive luxury development in Cabo Rojo for the wealthy elite. Esencia is projected to need around 1.25 - 2.5 MILLION gallons of potable water a day. All while our people already suffer thru colonialism, water rationing, and a neglected failing infrastructure. People need to understand that this is not just another development in PR. If we allow this project to happen, it will be the beginning to the end of our country as we know it. Join the fight to keep Puerto Rico for Puerto Ricans!!! We will fight alongside our caborrojeños to defend this land and WE WILL WIN!!!! #EsenciaNoVa 📸: @cristofel by @nycvibes21
