🇵🇷 NJ March for Independence | 8.29.2026
📸 @nycvibes21

This year we chose to march in NJ. While Boricuas on the island marched for independence, marched in defense of the land, we were here; in the states, doing the same. Putting out a signal of solidarity; a signal of unity. The fight for Puerto Rico must reach across all cities, and all states in which the diaspora lives.

As this is written, our people are still rationing water, are still facing constant black outs, and are STILL fighting to protect sacred land; fighting to keep what is rightfully theirs. We must join in with them. And as we do, we must also continue to build; our communities, our message, our service… because no one is coming to save us. We are who we’ve been waiting for.

What we choose to do now, will having lasting effects for generations to come. #ElPuebloSalvaAlPueblo #esencianova #puertorico🇵🇷

…None of us are free unless we’re all free…

¡Viva Puerto Rico Libre! 🇵🇷
¡Viva Palestina Libre! 🇵🇸
