i’m still looking back at how special this night was!!

i’ve played behind so many people, but this was one of the first times i had to step forward to shape the moment and really ask myself what i wanted to say through music.

honestly, i was only expecting 4 or 5 people to come. that’s what i heard to expect. i didn’t know who, if anyone, would really show up. but people came and filled the space!!

it was intimate and really honest. i’m so thankful.

special thanks for @its.missford for sharing this night with me — and for doing my makeup + styling me so beautifully. the fact that her birthday was two days ago makes it even more special 🥳✨

thank you to EVERYONE who came through, showed love, or just listened!! i’ll be sharing a few more moments from this night throughout the month 🤍🫶🏾

The first half of our tour around Berklee with @melaniefiona was led by @nyla.keys by way of Berklee Black Scholars Initiative (thank you again @tyjuanalflores 🫂🫂). We surfed the Berklee beach, checked out the new(ish) wing, held a private panel with select students and went right to ensembles.

You know that nostalgic feeling of walking through the halls on the first day of school? Seeing new faces, meeting the mentors who will one day shape your life in ways you cannot yet imagine? That is exactly how this felt. @berkleecollege is truly a musician’s dream, something Melanie said she wished she had for herself. It was so precious to be bright eyed and bushy tailed alongside her and a group of the homies we called to hang with us. 🫶🏾🫶🏽

(@tloui here 🙋🏾‍♀️🎤) I owe a lot of my creative journey to what Berklee allowed for me to experience. The platforms it gave me to reimagine, the friends and family I made there who still support me and collaborate with me to this day. I have met some of the world’s most gifted humans in those halls and I am forever grateful for that journey.

It is imperative for me to look back and give flowers where they are due. To name only a tiny few: @donnamcelroymusic (Mama Donna! I LOVE YOU), @njmungo, George Russell, Winston Maccow, Rob Rose, Ken Zambello, Jeff Ramsey (Rest in eternal peace 🫶🏾), My bestie @toritorimusic , and so many others who were/are essential to my growth as an artist and as the woman I am today. Thank you for guiding me to where I am now.

Again thank you BSI for letting me bring my girl and friends around my old stomping grounds. This indeed was special. 🥹🫶🏾

i produced a multi-artist showcase in nashville this march.

from coordinating communication between boston and nashville to organizing rehearsals and keeping the show running on schedule, this was a full execution!!

thank you to @berkleecareercenter and @andycchau for the opportunity and for trusting me to lead this.

i’m so grateful to all of the artists, engineers, and everyone involved who made this live event happen.

i’m honored to serve as an ambassador at @massmusicartssummit 2025 for berklee ✨
i’m grateful to @sixfootstax and @btoboston for bringing me on this year and trusting me to help connect the berklee community with such an inspiring event. being part of this summit reminded me how powerful it is when artists, industry leaders, and creatives come together to build the future of music + arts. i attended this summit last year so i love that i was able to bring others to it this year!! i’m excited to carry this energy into the year and keep building. 💫
