EPIC July 4, 250th celebratory day in honor of our countries birthdate. My “power-up” Saturday morning ritual working out with my be-loved community at @primalmovesvenice followed by sauna and cold plunge and that night spent at the LA Coliseum for the @America250 concert capped off with a drone show and Epic fireworks display. With my most fun friends, Troy and @cameroncohenart. Performances by Queen Latifah, Chaka Khan, Smashing Pumpkins and Chris Stapleton.All for the price of $17.76 a ticket!! This winter solstice was deeply poetic, touching on multiple layers of past, present, future. On Saturday I attended “ A Gathering of Light in the Darkest Hour , an afternoon into evening retreat at @rituellife which is a stunningly sublime sanctuary in Topanga Canyon. Sweeping views of the mountain range engulfed in rich nature in any direction you gaze. Crossing thresholds and collapsing timelines, we were immersed in culture and creativity. The days rituals were guided by proprietor Eve Gaines held in collaboration with dear friend @jesshundley. Beautiful food and a cacao ceremony were blessed by @april_valencia. Sunday afternoon I joined a Winter Solstice Breathwork and Sound Bath where a cacao ceremony was also offered. @vanessathehealer was our spirit conduit and guide for thru this multi dimensional process. I am deeply grateful to have these beautiful spirits in my life shining a light for me to ponder the cracks and the perfection. I am READY to enter this bright new shinny year, fully facing forwards. by @nylagrl1

Continuing with the adventures of the weekend, Monday nights are becoming a ritual of film, music, community and the Good Vibes, organized by @petit_salons and held at @petitermitagehotel. This evening was De=light=full. Serenaded first by a talented and sultry trio headlined by @thisistempesta and then off to cozy drop in up on the roof to watch a group of film shorts selected by @notfilmfest. There is so much talent floating around. So inspiring. Accompanied by my darling friend Kerry Clarkson @tira_kuna. Now for some rest. Haha. by @nylagrl1

Sunday fun day, stop by at @thelaboratoryartscollective headquarters in The Crossroads of the World where their offices are located. I’ve always wanted to check out this complex, referred to as the first outdoor shopping center in Hollywood It’s part Ft.Lauderdale part Space station. Something one would only find on a movie set. There I met some incredible creatives, all brought together by the fabulous duo behind this iconic magazine; Louise Salter and Nigel Daly. LOVE THEM! And then off to @kinship_highlandpark for a yoga class accompanied with sound immersion by my fave local sound practitioner @abagg. I’d say that’s a well rounded Sunday in the hood. by @nylagrl1

This was the start to a jampacked weekend. Day trip to Ojai for my yearly holiday drop in to Deck the Halls at Ojai Rancho Inn. It’s always so much fun to spend time with friends in this community. Love this charming mountainside town. Then for more fun, kicking off the jams with my new favorite girl crush DJ.@kelleemcquinn at@kkbbla. And I thought I had a lot of energy. This girl is like rocket fuel. Before meeting up with KELLEE I went to the holiday party at @mosaicsouthpasadena which was super high energy and fun. Brings to mind the idea that religion, any religion you choose can also have a lighter more playful side to it. It doesn’t all have to be fire and brimstone. This coming from a Jewish girl who sometimes prays outside of my lane. by @nylagrl1

Lisbon is alive! It’s a delightful city to explore in. And the surrounding towns like the old city in Evora and the hip beach town of Comporta, both 90 minutes in either direction make it a fun place to base in and set your sites on the next adventure. taken in Lisbon, Portugal by @nylagrl1

Finally, I am posting about my month spent in Lisbon. I give myself the month of September to spend in my apartment in Lisbon to start feeling into what it would feel like to actually be based there. The experience was beyond what I could’ve imagined, I felt right at home in this magical and charming city of light. The days stretched out before me, time has a different feeling here. A collection of the friendliest souls one can imagine meeting from all corners of the world. And the most walkable streets I’ve ever crossed though it can be a work out navigating the hills and the ceramic tile pavers. This is a grouping of the arts that stretched from paint to tile, street to gallery. The entire city is an art installation. taken in Lisbon, Portugal by @nylagrl1

Once again, seems like a yearly tradition to celebrate when @murraykylemusic comes to stay for a night or two at home on his cross country tour. Saturday night Murray posted up at @onegoldenthread @jeffscults Venice outpost with a secret magical oasis in the garden where we lounged about to be elevated by Murray’s music. if you haven’t visited the shop, put it on your must do short list. And had to include a few picks of Beau and Antoine cause they are so damn cute. by @nylagrl1
