POSTS STORIES REELS

There are artists you enjoy, artists you respect, and then there are artists who quietly change the way you see what’s possible. For me, that’s always been Hov.

Being from Providence, RI…I didn’t grow up living the stories he told. I wasn’t standing on the corners or navigating that world…my parents made sure of that 😂 But that’s what made his lyrics so powerful. His details were vivid, the confidence was authentic, and the storytelling so real that it didn’t feel like I needed to share those same experiences to feel the weight of them.

It wasn’t just about what he was saying, but how we was saying it. A bar could sound effortless on the surface, but underneath…the double entendres, sharp wit, layered rhyme schemes, business lessons, life philosophy, and perspective.

I’ve always thought the greatest writers don’t just tell you where they’ve been but expand your imagination. Hov made me believe that my circumstances didn’t have to define my ceiling, which is probably why I am the way I am. It’s ironic that my introduction to Reasonable Doubt was with a former friend, but that’s life as Jay would tell it.

Couldn’t have asked for a better show. Thankful for this work of art that helped me shape how I thought and looked at the world 💎

Been loving @kehlani project more and more with each listen.
For some reason I keep hearing “Fallen” with “No Such Thing” so I played around with the blend.

What do ya think?
