🚨 Proud husband alert! 🚨

Becka organized a block party over the last several months, re-designed the street mural, and was quality control all day fielding a million questions and opinions about how to do things, and 6+ hours of painting. She was awesome, and has left her mark in Portland!

Good job, @heckabecka ! You’re the best!

My oldest, dearest friend @haaky378 and her guy James came to Portland a few weekends ago and it did my soul so much good.

A good hike ✅
Great food. ✅
Hanging with a someone that has known you for 43ish years. ✅

She got to meet @heckabecka for the first time to make sure we should still go through with the wedding 🤣

Pinky: “Gee, Brain, whaddya wanna do tonight?”

Brain: “The same thing we do every night, Pinky. Try to take over the world!”

I’ll let you decide who is who, but #alliegato is definitely Pinky…

72 years old.

You’ve been gone for more than two weeks now. It still doesn’t completely land with me - like I can still call you on my way home from work and complain about how terrible the Bills looked this week, how many golf balls I lost on the course, or what project you were cooking up for the next DePoint working vacation.

I will miss teeing it up together. I will miss sitting on a roof and re-shingling the house in blazing summer heat. I will miss hearing hard truths and learning the meaning of hard work and integrity from watching you and how you interacted with the world.

Thank you for sparking my love and obsession with all things National Parks, and I’m glad we got to tag team Arches and Canyonlands just two months ago…

I hope I made you proud, Dad. I am so proud to be your son, and will do my best to keep your memory vibrant.

I miss you every minute. I love you.

FUCK CANCER by @nypoint

Canyonlands.

Trying to pick from the thousands of pictures taken while on our Utah adventure has proven…challenging.

Starting with @archesnps . The landscape was otherworldly, naturally geometric, and gloriously red. Getting to spend a few days exploring this park, some of which with my parents, was perfection.

As with most @nationalparkservice parks I visit, I wish for more time… by @nypoint

1,046 miles later, Delicate Arch.

#bucketlist✅

Special thanks to @utahgov for maintaining funding for staffing of the parks during the current CF at the federal level.

Also, not possible at all without the dedication of all the @nationalparkservice park rangers performing their responsibilities without currently getting paid. This trip would not be able to happen without these individuals and the countless volunteers in these parks.

Grateful for their dedication 💚💚💚

Lots of buckets lists about to get crossed off - Arches, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon, and Zion! by @nypoint
