Bold Moves 💛

my first acda at ut austin with my dance community and family! this weekend was a fun learning experience and im so grateful for the opportunity to dance and connect with peers, choreographers and an adjudicator. watching the concerts inspired me to continue my dance journey and to fall in love with dancing again :’)

I want to recognize and give love to the sanjac dance company presenting perlas, divina, and down for their outstanding performances at the adjudication concert AND gala concert. to witness yalls hard work, dedication, and vulnerability through rehearsals and on stage was heartfelt and healing. I am so proud of every single one of you. I love you all so much. Thank you for sharing your creative outlets with us. I can’t wait to see you all dance and create more works in the future :’)) awh #chickensalad

@diversecity.htx 🥇

first isang mahal. first place. first dvc performance. first cstat experience.

Thank you to my team, my director, my captains, my friends, my family, my boyfriend, and my supporters for this experience and everything. It all still feels unreal experiencing a lot of firsts. I learned so much from this team about dance and about myself through it all. I joined dvc for the opportunity to perform at isang mahal but little did I know that this season was going to be dub season with a hardworking team, reliable leaders, a crowd pleasing set, and a dream! One month with my teammates and leaders was worth every sweat, every breath, and every tear to perform a good show!

All love to my team, director, and captains for this unforgettable experience in my dance journey. taken in Rudder Auditorium by @nyraspringer

Kaleidoscope 💙 @sanjacdance

to sjcd fam,

I’ll always remember our time we had together dancing and making memories before & after our performances <3 my first semester being in dance performance was challenging for my body & mind however, I had precious friends and directors dancing alongside to help me strive & grow as a dancer and as a person.

this past week was very emotional because in such little time, I got closer to you all but now some are leaving to continue their dance journeys and have new beginnings. I will never forget that this family always shows gratitude for one another & for the arts and it is such a blessing and beautiful feeling when we dance and cry together.

I adore and love every single one of you and I can’t wait to see you all do great things in life and your future performances!! I’m looking forward next semester to dance with my friends again and I already miss my friends that are moving on in life 🥺

thank you to the directors for the opportunities and for pushing me to do better everyday in class and in rehearsals. to my biggest fans! my mother, my best friends and my boyfriend, thank you for supporting me on my dance journey 🫶🏼
and that’s a wrap til next semester!

but emotions out of control .. well..

first goodphil❣️@hbustmodern

to my team,

from workshops all the way to hell week and on stage at goodphil, we put our heart and minds at every practice and made memories from our giggles & shiggles all season long. the heart of our team is genuine because of the bonds to become a family and to be better people and dancers. we encountered hardships and challenges along the way too but with grit we held the vision of our goals and trusted the process to finish strong together as a team.

enjoy the small vids I put together <3 . I am truly happy and proud to be a member of this extraordinary team! I will always remember this experience as a part of my dance journey. I am very thankful for the opportunity to meet & dance alongside precious people. a year ago, I watched the hbust modern showcase and a year later I am in hbust modern with incredible and talented directors, captains, chairs and the mf team, it is an honor and my greatest pleasure.

our team achieved great things despite the results. we won hearts and received hella energy from the crowd and all that matters is that we are satisfied of our performance! hbust modern will continue to grow and come back stronger til next season! thank you so much for everything! I love and cherish every single one of you unconditionally ❤️
