To wrap up the summer we wanted to shout out our 14u @nyrisingrebels who competed in the @tdycc_basketball_league this past summer.

This was a very special group who came together and always played with energy, enthusiasm, and effort in every game and practice. All the boys have bright futures ahead of them.

NY Rising Rebels • Fall Season Recap 🏀💙

This fall was special.

We brought together a group of legit 9th–10th graders who had never played together before. But from the first to last tournament, one thing became crystal clear:

➡️ Trust beats talent.
➡️ Buy-in beats rankings.

We had tough losses. We had strong wins. We faced teams loaded with experience and teams loaded with skill. But none of that ever mattered. Every single week this group grew, not just as players, but as teammates.

By the end of the season, they learned one of the biggest truths in basketball:

🔥 If a team buys in, plays for each other, and trusts the guy next to them… you can compete with ANYBODY.
Doesn’t matter the level. Doesn’t matter the names on the other jersey. Doesn’t matter the hype.

When you’re the underdog, it’s the connection and the commitment that carry you through tight games; not stars, not ratings.

And these young men proved that every weekend.

Proud of this group. Proud of the growth. Proud of the way they represented the Rebels culture.

This is just the beginning.

Highly Performing 🌟

Andre Rodriguez '25, a 6'0 guard from Archbishop Stepinac and NY Rising Rebels put on a show this weekend at Zero Gravity. He's a great playmaker, quick, good shooter, and knows how to get to the rim. He made a game winning assist against Westchester Swarm during a big comeback led by him. College coaches need to keep an eye out for him.

Back again with another Testimony Tuesday! Na Swish is one of our Day 1 Rebels. He was with us from the jump. Nana always gave max effort and always kept it real on and off the court. He was one of the players that would guard anyone on the court and take on any challenge. Aside from a great athlete, he always had a smile on his face and is someone everyone wants to hang out around. Keep on achieving your goals and continuing to be the example for others. Thank you! 🫡 by @nyrisingrebels
