MAKE YOUR SERVICE YEAR AN IMPACTFUL ONE: RETIRED DIRECTOR MOTIVATES CORPS MEMBERS 🇳🇬

NYSC Retired Director, Mrs. Victoria Bosede Okakwu, has charged the 2026 Batch ‘C’ Stream I Corps Members to make their service year a period of positive impact, personal growth and meaningful contribution to society.

The 2026 Batch ‘C’ Stream I SAED In-Camp Programme has officially kicked off at the NYSC FCT Orientation Camp, setting the stage for Corps Members to acquire practical skills, explore entrepreneurship and build pathways towards self-reliance.

At the opening ceremony, SAED trainers introduced Corps Members to the various skill areas available and highlighted the opportunities that come with acquiring valuable, income-generating skills.

A major highlight was an inspiring talk by Mr. Peace, a food processor, business owner and former Corps Member (2010–2011), who encouraged Corps Members to identify opportunities, solve problems and create value, emphasizing that financial rewards follow when genuine value is created.

Corps Members were also introduced to entrepreneurship and financial literacy opportunities, including the Kudimata Youth Capital Market Initiative, OTNI, NiYA Gigs and the NYSC SME Toolkit powered by the Enterprise Development Centre of Pan-Atlantic University.

Declaring the programme open on behalf of the Acting Director, SAED, Mrs. Shokpeka Winifred, the FCT Coordinator urged Corps Members to aspire to become employers of labour and creators of opportunities, rather than limiting themselves to dependence on conventional 9–5 jobs.
