OOTD GRWM Claire Underwood style. Robin Wright as Claire Underwood in Netflix TV show House of Cards. In Episode 401, we see Claire wearing a sleeveless dress by Akris. Wardrobe styled it both with the cardigan sweater and the jacket. For Robinā€™s scenes inside the house, wardrobe styled it with the lightweight cardigan. I love the keyhole shape it creates with the cardigan. As she stepped outside for a press interview with Francis, wardrobe styled it with the heavier weight blazer jacket. A more professional and polished look for a press interview. The feel of the jacket is so beautiful in person! One skirt, two different tops. Wardrobe staples. Claire Underwood style. Style tips for women. TV Show edition. Did you know TV shows dress their characters like real people? One simple gray pencil skirt, two different tops. Just like a real person would do. House of Cards, Netflix TV Show, wardrobe dressed Robin Wright in the first top, Kate Spade, earlier in the show. A classy, structured top. Price point would be a modestly priced piece. And then later as the character progressed and transformed, wardrobe dressed her in the second top, Alexander McQueen, as she was climbing ladder of success. A higher priced luxury brand. Itā€™s a similar top. Classy and structured. Both look amazing on. This is the perfect example of a wardrobe staple. And character development through clothes. This drives home the point that we, too, must dress the part in real life. Show up and suit up to have executive presence. Feminine, poised, professional. And itā€™s ok to start with the modest priced pieces as long as they look professional. And then gradually replace or add to as you can begin to afford the more luxury pieces. Take a look at how wardrobe styled her. You see the 1/3-2/3 ratios on Robin with the jacket being a cropped bolero style. 1/3 on top styled with the high waisted midi skirt 2/3 on the bottom. Iā€™m also wearing The Row. But a different cut of the jacket. Claireā€™s is cropped which looks great with the skirt. But since mine is a longer cut jacket, I styled it with pants to still give that 1/3-2/3 ratios. Last photo I have on a completely different jacket. Brand is Ports 1961. And still giving that 1/3-2/3 ratio. Photo 4 heels are Victoria Beckham. Even though my outfits are not screen accurate, itā€™s a close match. Which styling on me is your preference?
