If your clay is ever too wet, you can shape it into an arch and leave it on a table. This exposes more of the clay and will allow it to dry out faster. You’ll find these arches all around the studio from time to time ☺️ by @nytogei

One of the most wonderful things about ceramics is clay’s never-ending life. There is no limit to reclaiming and recycling clay. :) by @nytogei

At Togei we wedge our clay through the kikuneri 菊練り process or chrysanthemum kneading. Kikuneri is a traditional Japanese kneeding technique, used to remove air, and even out the consistency of clay. This technique is also used in the making of soba buckwheat noodles 🍜 by @nytogei
