Ole State U, Thank you! I moved hours away to a different state and Im blessed to call this place home. Thank you Winston, for the lessons, the fun the new bonds and most importantly my degree.

I knew college would be the intial stepping stone that would lead me to something bigger!! I’ve always wanted to be a “college girl” and being here was something so very special that allowed me to become HER. I sat with my goals day in & day out with a heavy heart until they were unfolding in-front of me. & I am finally here. MOMMA YO BABY A SOCIAL WORKER ❤️.

& my cap is a letter my momma wrote me on my first day of HS, I found it last minute, in my heart she KNEW I needed to hear that!

On May 15th I’ll choose to define my OWN destiny with a degree in Social Work.

In the midst of life and my journey at Winston, I tried to remember that my momma had ALREADY gave me the mission, the plan, & the motivation for what the lord had set for me to accomplish. On 11/13, while celebrating her new business supporting others through mental health, God called her home. Ever since then, I’ve had to walk in some heavy shoes to fulfill her mission, but remembering everything she poured into me with purpose.

This degree means more than a title to me — it’s proof that I kept going even when life got heavy. There were days I questioned myself, days I felt unmotivated, but God continued to favor my journey every step of the way. Like The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill reminds us, sometimes the hardest lessons become the real education!!

The fear of the unknown, the growth, the resilience, all of it had purpose. Lord, you favored my vision and gave me a level of strength I never knew I had. Watch how I pay it all forward and allow her goals to live through me. This shit personal, literally ❤️.
