Business and Economic Reporting alum @annalouiesuss is coming out with a new book this fall, “Inconceivable: The Impossibility of Family in an Age of Uncertainty.”

The narrative nonfiction book looks at why it’s so difficult for people to have the families they want to have.

Alumni Spotlight ⭐️

Meet Aaron Parsley, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and senior editor at Texas Monthly. In 2026, Parsley received the Pulitzer Prize for Feature Writing for his powerful first-person essay, “The River House Broke. We Rushed in the River.” The piece tells the story of his family’s survival during the devastating Central Texas floods and the heartbreaking loss of his nephew. 

Before joining Texas Monthly, Parsley spent more than two decades as a writer, reporter, and editor, and covered politics, crime, entertainment, and major breaking news. He is a graduate of the Magazine & Digital storytelling program.
