From June 25 to 27, 2026, we hosted the symposium, “Whose East, Which West? Networks, Archives, and Diasporas in China and the Ibero-American World”. Students enrolled in the courses Contemporary Perspectives on the Civil War and the 'Recovery of Historical Memory' in Spain, (taught byProfessors Ellen Gordon and Emilio Silva), Cultural History of Spain (with Prof. Cristina Colmena) and Contemporary Spanish Politics (with Prof. Jorge Tamames) went on a day trip to the Valle of Cuelgamuros, one of the most controversial sites on the entire Iberian peninsula. ✍️ by @nyumadrid
