POSTS STORIES REELS
The girls (with a little encouragement from their principal) thought adding an extra 0 on some cards would be funny. The spiced up 4 cards and as luck would have it I happened to pull out 90km. We made a deal and I only have to do 9. So split it into two 4.5km runs one in the am one in the pm. by @nz.tribro
Day 2 was a 9. Split into morning 3km, afternoon 1.5km with the kids training for weetbix try and evening 4.5km. by @nz.tribro
#newchallengetime After getting inspired by everyone getting ready for IronMaori and the Auckland marathon I realised I need to get my butt into gear. What better way to do it than with a new challenge. Each day in November I will pull out a card and run that many kms that day (can be split into multiple runs) ace=1 j,q,k=11,12,13 and joker is rest day. As you can tell by the first card draw I was stoked to get an ace, the kids wanted a king. by @nz.tribro
Been a while since I have done a double training day. Started with a ride to get the legs ticking over again and then a run with my daughter to do a reccie of her cross country course. by @nz.tribro
Swim, Bike, Run done. Thanks to everyone for all your support and messages over the last few days Although Triathlon is an individual sport it’s so important to have a team around you and I am blessed to have the H Team there by my side. A big thanks to everyone who was there cheering me on all over the course. Thankyou also to Team Bros who put in some pretty big miles to help me along the journey. by @nz.tribro
On November the 6th last year I started my 20min a day runs at the blacksmith run club running 5km in over 35min. Today 98 days later I ran the same 5km in under 29mins. It’s been a long time since I went under 30min. by @nz.tribro
The family went away on a girls trip to give me some time to train. Unfortunately with the crazy weather I had to change plans a bit. Run Highlights were fastest 10km, parkrun pb and doing a 21km run. Swim highlights were getting a new wetsuit, doing a 3.8km swim and an open water swim. Other highlights was a brick session today. Weeks effort swim-6km, cycle-60km and run-60km. by @nz.tribro
Rides are getting longer. While I had a bit of FOMO with some mates doing the Tauranga 1/2 (thoughts are with the family and friends of the swimmer who passed) another buddy and I went for a nice ride around the country side. Followed that up with a run of the bike(ish) 30min transition 😜 Then had a sleep in today thanks to the pouring rain so went for a jog later on in the day. by @nz.tribro
Weekly wrap up 29km of 🏃 and 134km 🚲. Happy new year to you all. See you all being awesome out there next year. by @nz.tribro
Had a good few days down in Taupo training and trying out the course. Swimming was limited as the lake was crazy wavy, managed to get 1 decent swim and a good tester in rough conditions. 2.6km swimming. Biking was all about getting used to the changes, 210km on the course. Running was checking out the small changes and running different conditions and times. Long run also included parkrun. 38km running. by @nz.tribro
Bit of course recce today going over the first part of the new bike course. Got a puncture going down hill which made the butt clench a fair bit. Then a swim in a very wavy lake. Then a run on the first half of the run course with the new bit towards the plane. by @nz.tribro
Today was IronMaori Tamaki. I got there faster than planned so snuck a 15km Ride in before the event. Overall stoked with how it went. Flat and fast. by @nz.tribro
