@southerncrosscx Round 6 at Spenser Park. Awesome day out, highlight being #ProudDad moment with Lachlan's 3rd place making the podium in the Under 6 category. Not a bad effort for his first season! I however go my ass kicked after a busy-as 2 weeks & a relentless course featuring classic CX conditions of #Sand&Mud. Proper type 2 fun! Light, fast, and capable enough to blur the line between gravel and road. The target is Edition Zero in November—now the focus shifts from building the bike to building the engine.

A wet week and some grotty weather meant we thought we were in for some proper cross conditions, even squeezing new Ground Controls in Lachlan’s bike…. Only to find another amazing day with cracker weather🌤️on speed dial for the @southerncrosscx teams Rd 4 Farm Track!

@gustric even resorted to wetting the most treacherous corners to invoke some carnage! Parcours not to my strengths but good battles none the less.

Highlight of the day however was Lachlans beaming smile while racing around the kids course!

Of course, @carpe_diem_jmr Director Sportive & 1 person cheer squad.

Night Racing 🚀 with @muddygumbootevents 🏁

This one has been on my list for a while & the stars aligned to get involved. Full gas grass Crit from the start until the hole shot/bottleneck into the single track. What followed was a lesson in keeping it smooth & in control, at night, at max heart rate, by head torch. Some lessons were learned, will 💯be back!

Was great to scratch the itch again & line up for @muddygumbootevents #EastCoastGravel again last Saturday. Last year the heat & freshly graded roads made for a tough excursion into the coastal hills of Cheviot.
Prime conditions this year led to fast times & I knocked nearly an hour off last years time. Itch scratched.
