I designed this pattern as a way to learn short rows (and crochet a cute slouchy pullover at the same time) having crocheters that have never tried before in mind, so it's the perfect place to start! 🫶

Obsessed 🧶

After 4 months of designing, this pullover is ready!

I'll show the complete results soon but in the meantime some key info:
It is crocheted! And it is crocheted all in one panel! And it does have all the shaping you'd like: shoulder slopes, bust darts etc etc etc 🥹

I'm so excited! I'll look for crochet testers next week!

It's worth it! 👇

1. Shaping garments (both following a pattern, and especially designing it!) might take a bit more effort than 4 rectangles sewn together or a shapeless raglan... But your crocheted garments will feel meant to be worn daily, for years!

2. Thin yarns
Again, it will take so much longer than with chunky yarn, but the final make will be light, and drapey much easier!

3. Teeny tiny stitches
Who doesn't love a dc stitch?! Everything will grow so quickly! But unfortunately, the bigger the stitch, the chunkier it feels, and obtaining the right drape, and a flat fabric, will be so much harder! Slip stitches, single crochet, variations of a single crochet, will definitely help you achieve a timeless feel to your crochet make!

trends?!?! 👇

slow fashion is not just about the time we take into crocheting or knitting something, it's also about the intention behind it.
My intention is to dedicate time into crocheting pieces that will last more than the time of a trend.

Years after years, I will be able to wear them, and make the most of the time I spend crocheting them.

This is also why I want my crochet patterns to be very intentional, provide the correct fitting across sizes, and ideas and guidance to vary elements such as the length, the collar, or the sleeve shape. I want to crochet staples for myself, and make sure you can add to your wardrobe a staple for yourself ❤️

Next release: 12th of October 🌱

The Garden Ivy vest (gilet? slipover? I'm afraid there are too many regional variations for me to know exactly!) is (almost!) here!

With months of testing, we made sure that EVERYONE could pick this pattern up and crochet a cosy vest!

My intention was different: this was meant to be an intermediate pattern... But can I actually resist teaching tunisian crochet?! I cannot ✨

So stay tuned, watch out for the testers' versions, and enjoy me turning a walk down the river into the perfect autumnal set for this vest 🍂

are you crocheting your winter wardrobe?! 👇

1. Opaque stitches
To ensure you can wear and enjoy your crochet makes in the cold months, I highly recommend trying with stitches that don't show gaps. No breeze risk, no need to plan layering, and if you want to impress people saying "I actually crocheted it", opaque stitches are what you want!

2. Double folded collars
Ok, they take more time to crochet... But ooh, so cosy! It also makes your crochet creations look so polished

3. The right yarn!
You don't need chunky yarn! How warm your crochet clothes are is decided instead by the fiber and how opaque and dense your stitches are. When I want something light and drapey... I always grab an alpaca blend for example!

Me ❤️ Chai Latte

I cannot explain how much I love this jumper and how many other versions I'd love to have in my wardrobe 🥹

It allows for different length and collar styles so I crocheted a second version with a shorter body and the regular ribbing instead of the double folded one for a more "in between season" make 🍏

favourite beanie!

I'm so happy that I've finally got my beanie back after losing it on a walk, and that I've finally finished a project again!

This crochet beanie took me only a few hours to make, it comes in three sizes, and the crown is just so gorgeous! Ready to crochet another 30 of them! ❄️
