My first mosaic backer and it went #viral on that other app! Cause it’s amazing??? Well, no, it was because people said I did it wrong, they’d seen better, that I used too much glue, that I glued it wrong, that I clamped it wrong… but what I see? I see me trying something new, making something beautiful even if it isn’t the best or the “right way”. I see a cool project! Even if I did eventually completely mess it up. 😂

Make sure to follow along because I do have to remake this since I accidently cut into it 🤦🏻‍♀️ Im going to do a slightly different design and like always take what I learned the first time and make the second one even better. You coming along??

Fun fact: my dad has called me Wiz since I was a little kid 🏃🏻‍♀️

This morning when I woke up I said I wasn’t going to go. I told my daughter I didn’t want to run.
I told myself I deserved a rest day.

But I set out despite my bad attitude and got myself a PR. Sub 30 5K on the books. Keep going 💪

Exactly one year between these videos. And about 30lbs.

Is the change obvious? Honestly it’s hard for me to tell because it was slow and gradual, but physically? Mentally? I feel like a completely different person. I can run faster, lift heavier and I’m motivated more than ever to keep going.

What did I change?

Well, besides moving from Canada to Texas and changing my entire life…

1. Drinking more water and adding @beam Glow everyday.
2. Joining a gym and going to 3-5 classes per week. My faves are @lesmills Body Pump and Combat. Shoutout @intentional_movements for getting me started and inspiring me to keep going.
3. Swapping my morning coffee and toast to a protein shake after my morning workout (with caffeine I’m not crazy).
4. Prioritizing making meals I enjoy and not just eating the leftovers my kids didn’t eat.
5. Choosing me. Understanding that I’m in control of my mind and body and I want both to be strong!

One year down, and I can’t wait to see what happens next!

I almost died. I had to walk at least 2KM.

And the craziest part? No, it wasn’t me choosing to run in a million degree heat. It was the fact that there were so many people on the trails doing the same thing.

We all waved and looked at each other like this 🥵🥴

She’s the eldest daughter. The older sister.

She’s always been brave. Adaptable.

But then things changed.

She’s entering the preteen years, when everything feels unfamiliar. Your thoughts, your body, your world.

Things feel harder. They feel strange. She just wants to find where she fits. She wants to find friends, a lunch table to sit at, people she can depend on.

As a mom, I’ve given her the advice I can give. But if you could, what advice would you give ??
