The FUTURE is FAST. ⚡️The next generation of Oak Park Track & Field has arrived.Please help us welcome incoming freshmen Aubrey Burt, Aiden Jenkins, and Langston Bickerdt—three of the top young athletes in the nation and the No. 1-ranked athletes in Michigan in their respective events.Aubrey Burt and Langston Bickerdt recently captured National Championships in the middle school 800 meters at the prestigious New Balance Outdoor Nationals, while Aiden Jenkins claimed AAU Regional Championships in both the 100 and 200 meters and has already established himself as one of the region’s premier young hurdlers.But their potential extends far beyond the track. They are outstanding students who bring the discipline, character, leadership, and academic excellence that define our program.As they begin their high school journey, they’ll look to help elevate our championship tradition while developing into some of the nation’s elite high school athletes.The future is bright. Congratulations to Nevaeh Burns and Aubrey Douglas on being recognized as nominees for the Detroit Free Press High School Sports Awards!Both Lady Knights were nominated as two of Michigan’s top high school track & field student-athletes following outstanding 2026 spring seasons.The future is incredibly bright, with Aubrey returning as a sophomore next season and Nevaeh entering her senior year. Together, they’ll help lead the Lady Knights as we pursue our fifth consecutive MHSAA Division 1 State Championship.Congratulations, Nevaeh and Aubrey! The season didn’t end the way we wanted, but our guys never stopped competing. Through every challenge, they fought until the very end and represented Oak Park with pride.We had eight athletes earn All-State honors and competed against the best in Michigan. That’s a testament to their hard work, dedication, and belief in one another.To our seniors, thank you for everything you’ve poured into this program over the years. The Oak Park Girls Track & Field team are the 2026 MHSAA Division I State Champions! 🏆🏆🏆🏆 🏆4-Peat Complete! 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆State Title #10 “Don’t Stop ’Til You Get Enough” 🎶In a day full of ups and downs, our soldiers proved once again that they are as tough, resilient, and determined as advertised. After an incredible battle with an outstanding Cass Tech team, our ladies rose to the occasion and brought home our FOURTH consecutive state championship and our 10th state title in the last 12 years! 👑🏃🏽‍♀️💨We don’t like to use the word dynasty… but it is what it is.
