The first day of the 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 & 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥-𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐮𝐦 closed in the warm, familiar light of OM Centru Coregrafic, where the 𝐑𝐞:𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐄𝐱𝐡𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 filled the space with conversations and connection.

The six residents — Selma Dragoș, Oana Hodade, Alice Iliescu, Mirela Ivanciu, Mihai Păcurar and Veda Popovici — shared deeply personal works shaped by their own processes of slowing down, observing and redefining care. From embroidered journals of artistic survival and hand-drawn stories about invisible labour, to a garden turned ecosystem of resilience and zines on togetherness,

💫From embroidered reflections on artistic survival to dreams woven into light, comics mapping invisible labour, gardens turned into living metaphors and zines on togetherness, every project felt like a fragment of a larger collective story about how we live, work and rest.

The evening continued with “lucrez-visez / dream-work”, a performance by Oana Hodade, exploring how the emotions we attach to our work echo into our dreams.
Between light and sleep, the performance invited us to linger with a question that still resonated as we left the room: 𝑊ℎ𝑦 𝑑𝑜𝑒𝑠 𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑘 𝑓𝑜𝑙𝑙𝑜𝑤 𝑢𝑠 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑛 𝑖𝑛𝑡𝑜 𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑑𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑚𝑠?

Janus Stuck, my father

Part of the ongoing project ‘The Stucks’ that is based on a found photo archive, the work explores the figure of Janus Stuck as an idealised father, viewed through the contrasting perspectives of his two children, each with distinct temperaments and memories. Rooted in authentic black-and-white snapshots from the 1960s Eastern European communist bloc (Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria) and extensive archival research, the project is reimagined through AI-generated imagery and video, treating AI as a collective database of human experience. By fictionalizing these genuine fragments of the past, the installation challenges notions of family, identity, and emotional authenticity. Ultimately, it asks a simple yet provocative question: Which is more ‘real’—memory or fiction? by @oanahodade

one week at Casa Albastră
it was great to (re)discover village sounds, eat great food, share ideas, thoughts, interests, and learn new ways of working with field recording, voice and people.
met a great group of artists and a bunch of nice people from Șona that welcomed us in the community.
thank you @anamaria_pravicencu & @semi_silent for having me and making this possible. thank you @antoinerichard2021 for opening new creative space and possibilities.
