My name is Emma, and I have had the privilege of being the Director of Oasis Belgium for almost six years.

To celebrate Oasis’ 15th anniversary, I am taking on a special challenge: organising a community 5km walk. The event will take place on Friday 17th July, and we have invited a large group of our beneficiaries to take part.

For many of them, this will be the first time they have taken on a physical challenge like this. They are motivated, not only to push themselves, but also to show their support for the work of Oasis and the community we serve.

It would mean so much if you could encourage and support them by making a donation towards their efforts. Every contribution helps us continue our work and makes this celebration even more meaningful.

Je m’appelle Emma et je suis directrice d’Oasis Belgique depuis près de six ans.

Dans le cadre des célébrations des 15 ans d’Oasis, je relève un défi particulier : organiser une marche communautaire de 5 km. Elle aura lieu le vendredi 17 juillet, et nous avons invité un grand groupe de bénéficiaires à y participer.

Pour certains d’entre eux, ce sera la première fois qu’ils relèvent un défi physique de ce type. Ils sont motivés à participer, non seulement pour se dépasser, mais aussi pour soutenir le travail d’Oasis et la communauté que nous accompagnons.

Ce serait formidable si vous pouviez les encourager et les soutenir en faisant un don pour leurs efforts. Chaque contribution nous aide à poursuivre notre mission et rend cette célébration encore plus spéciale.

At Oasis Belgium, the Welcome Project is turning 15.

As part of Tipper’s challenge to meet 15 Friends of Oasis and collect 15 stories, we’re starting with Phil, Executive Director at Oasis Belgium.

For Phil, some of the most powerful stories are not only about women receiving support, but about women who gradually become part of the community itself.

Women who first came to Oasis during vulnerable moments in their lives, and who later became active voices, trusted presences, and sources of strength for others.

That is what the Welcome Project has been building for 15 years: not only support, but community, dignity and hope.

Today, we are raising €15,000 to help this work continue.

At Oasis Belgium, the Welcome Project is turning 15.
For 15 years, this project has walked alongside women who needed safety, support and a community they could trust. Last year, Oasis Belgium helped more than 200 women who had experienced violence from their partner to find the services, guidance and care they needed.
But behind every number, there is a person, a story, and a long path towards rebuilding confidence and dignity.
For this anniversary, I want to meet 15 Friends of Oasis and collect 15 stories that show what the Welcome Project has meant to people over the years. Stories of support, friendship, courage, small victories and moments that deserve to be remembered.
These 15 years have been built by many people: women who trusted us, staff members, volunteers, supporters and friends who believed that community can help people heal and move forward.
Today, we are raising €15,000 to help the Welcome Project continue supporting women in vulnerable situations in the months ahead.
