Happier summer moments, from the disposable by @oberrotman

Rest in peace Pop Pop; my first true comrade. In arms of butter pecan breyers, ramen, stories of trekking the Alaskan wilderness. A younger sibling of 16. Religious, poor, of the American South. Who I would ask endless questions to, and who had endless answers. My human encyclopedia. My most revered playmate. My most adored.

I will think of you laughing at your own retellings of life in Germany, in Korea, when I am sad. And I am so sad, so unbelievably sad, thinking of life without hearing them again.

Great summer art moments inclusive of Jesus in a cinnamon bun and the (totally brutal/heart wrenching/fantastic) Tracey Emin retro at Tate. I was so nervous with Teds being born during the pandemic, that I would have a harder time acclimating her to gallery life (amongst other things obviously). It’s thrilling that that was not the case. Introducing kids to museums and institutions and catalyzing their engagement with and within them is not the insurmountable task it may seem like. Being able to bring your kid/s is legitimate privilege but it’s also very emotionally doable, so if you’re looking from the outside wondering how to bring your brood to a museum or gallery or show without them turning into the spawn of satan, you’re welcome to send me a dm for some pointers.

And Teds love, love love loved Emin. Girl’s got taste praise Jesus (punny!!!!) by @oberrotman
