One of the most skilled scleral lens fitters in Nigeria, Dr. Obinwanne Chukwuemeka Jnr (@obinwannejr), visited our clinic. We are grateful for the opportunity to collaborate and share experiences with excellent doctors in the field!

I took @drnathanschramm invitation to visit his beautiful practice @insightvisionoc and see some patients together.

Got to do some impressions, an interesting case of crystalline keratopathy just beginning to develop. We also discussed my research on scleral lenses and the limbal physiology and guess what… there was a case of limbal stem cell deficiency where the scleral lens edge sitting directly on the limbus causing 360 neovascularization, and @drnathanschramm to the rescue with a better customized fit!
Your patients and community are blessed to have you @insightvisionoc and @drnathanschramm.

Honored to be invited to speak on contact lens options for pediatric myopia management at the @mysaoa conference in Durban, South Africa. Durban was beautiful and it was lovely meeting friends again and the food…

Every irregular cornea tells a different story. The best outcomes don’t come from choosing the “best” lens, they come from choosing the right lens for the patient in front of us.

Session 8 – The Right Lens for the Right Cornea explores how different contact lens modalities can complement each other in modern clinical practice, helping practitioners tailor solutions to each cornea, each condition and each patient.

Join Sebastian Marx, Cian Gildea and Obinwanne Chukwuemeka as they discuss:
• When soft lenses can be an excellent option for irregular corneas.
• How combining different lens modalities can expand treatment possibilities and improve patient outcomes.
Because successful specialty lens practice isn’t about one solution… it’s about knowing when, why and how to use each one.
