🇨🇭⚓ Ulysse Nardin : 176 ans d’histoire horlogère 🇨🇭⚓
 
⚓ 1846 • Fondation de la manufacture par Ulysse Nardin, 23 ans, au Locle. Fils de l’horloger Léonard-Frédéric Nardin.
 
🏅 1862 • Ulysse Nardin reçoit la plus haute distinction de l’Exposition universelle de Londres pour la qualité et la précision de ses montres.
 
👨‍👦 1876 • Décès d’Ulysse Nardin à 53 ans. Son fils Paul-David Nardin reprend la manufacture.
 
🌊 1877 • Paul-David oriente l’entreprise vers les chronomètres de marine, qui feront sa réputation auprès des marines du monde entier.
 
🌍 1877 • Début du développement international avec l’ouverture d’un comptoir à Genève.
 
🥇 1889 • Grand Prix de l’Exposition universelle de Paris, consacrant la réputation internationale de la manufacture.
 
📐 1906 • Record de précision à l’Observatoire de Hambourg.
 
👨‍👦 1920 • Décès de Paul-David Nardin. La troisième génération, Alfred, Ernest et Gaston Nardin, reprend la direction de l’entreprise.
 
⚓ XXe siècle • Les chronomètres de marine Ulysse Nardin équipent plus de 50 marines militaires à travers le monde.
 
🔥 1983 • Rachat par Rolf Schnyder et renaissance de la manufacture après la crise du quartz.
 
🚀 2001 • Lancement de la révolutionnaire Freak, l’une des montres les plus innovantes de son époque.
 
🏢 2014 • Entrée dans le groupe Kering.

La Manufacture Pequignet 🦁💙💛🇫🇷

1973 – Émile Pequignet fonde la maison Pequignet à Morteau, berceau de l’horlogerie française, au cœur du bassin horloger franco-suisse du Jura, dans le Haut-Doubs, en Franche-Comté.

1980 – Lancement des collections emblématiques Moorea (1980), devenue l’un des modèles iconiques de la marque, et Equus (1987), inspirée par la passion d’Émile Péquignet pour l’équitation.

2000 – Après une carrière consacrée à l’horlogerie française, Émile Péquignet transmet les rênes de l’entreprise. Didier Leibundgut reprend la marque, fonde la Manufacture de Haute Horlogerie, inaugure en 2008 le laboratoire de Haute Horlogerie à Morteau, puis ouvre officiellement en 2010 la Manufacture Pequignet, dédiée à la conception et à la fabrication de mouvements en interne.

2011 – Présentation du Calibre Royal®, premier mouvement manufacture français de Haute Horlogerie contemporaine. Le lys devient l’emblème de la Maison.

2017 – Reprise par quatre anciens cadres, déterminés à préserver la dernière manufacture française indépendante de Haute Horlogerie, suivie de la présentation du Calibre Royal® Manuel (2018), puis du dévoilement du Calibre Initial® et de la participation à la Grande Exposition du Fabriqué en France à l’Élysée (2021), année où la Maison est également reprise par Enowe Excellence, fonds d’investissement familial et éthique.

2023 – Pour ses 50 ans, Pequignet présente la Concorde, modèle anniversaire inspiré de son héritage.

2024 – Présentation au Watches & Wonders du premier tourbillon volant Pequignet, produit en série limitée à 24 exemplaires.

📍 Aiguille du Midi 🏔️🇫🇷

1818: First recorded ascent of the Aiguille du Midi by Antoni Malczewski, accompanied by Chamonix mountain guides. The Aiguille du Midi soon became a major objective for alpinists thanks to its direct access to high-altitude terrain.

🚡 The birth of the cable car
1909: The idea emerges to build a cable car linking Chamonix to the Aiguille du Midi.
1924–1927: Construction of the first section up to the Plan de l’Aiguille (2,317 m).
1951–1955: Construction of the current cable car, a remarkable engineering achievement for its time. It became the highest cable car in the world. The official inauguration took place in 1955.

✨ Modern developments
1991: Opening of the elevator leading to the summit terrace, offering a 360° panoramic view.
2013: Launch of the attraction “Step into the Void”, a glass cage suspended above the abyss.
2015: Inauguration of the Vertical Space, dedicated to the history of alpinism and the Mont-Blanc massif.

📍 1833 – In the Vallée de Joux, Antoine LeCoultre founds his watchmaking workshop. From the very beginning, the maison stands out for its pursuit of precision and innovation.

📐 1844 – Antoine LeCoultre invents the Millionomètre, the first instrument capable of measuring a micron, revolutionizing watchmaking precision.

⚙️ 1903 – In Paris, Edmond Jaeger challenges Swiss watchmakers to create ultra-thin watches. LeCoultre rises to the challenge, marking the start of a long-lasting collaboration.

🤝 1907 – Jaeger movements are officially manufactured by LeCoultre, strengthening the partnership between the two houses.

🏛️ 1931 – The iconic Reverso is born, originally designed for polo players and destined to become a timeless watchmaking legend.

✨ 1937 – The two names officially merge to form Jaeger-LeCoultre, a symbol of excellence and technical mastery.

🔧 Today, the manufacture has created over 1,200 calibres and holds more than 430 patents, making it one of the most influential names in watchmaking history.
