Memories of April 2024💛

I once dreamed of both visiting Finland 🇫🇮 and playing under the direction of Dalia Stasevska. But I never imagined it would happen at the same time!

I am incredibly grateful for this wonderful project, which once again demonstrated the unity of Finland and Ukraine. Playing side by side with @sibeliusacademy was not only a professional and inspiring experience, but also warm and joyful thanks to the shared spirit and energy between us 🌼⛄️

Our concert was also attended by the 4th President of Finland, Alexander Stubb! At the meeting after the concert, he reassured us that support for Ukraine will remain unwavering, and that our culture must continue to thrive through our shared contribution.

🎵 Program:

Frolyak — Let There Be Light
Sibelius — Violin Concerto with incredible @elinavahala
Skoryk — Melody
Klami — Kalevala Suite taken in Musiikkitalo, Helsinki by @oboelola

We are almost 9 months behind the schedule 💪💪💪
So here’s January 2025, Dukes Hall still has curtains and colour in it (don’t know what’s more eye watering, this or seeing how many of these people have already graduated) by @oboelola

When friends come together and when what we do on stage turns into real support for people who need it.

Paul Juon — Divertimento for Piano and Wind Quintet, Op. 51
IV. Finale

One of those seriously underrated gems for piano and wind quintet that deserves to be played far more often.

Last year’s (2025) @royalacademyofmusic Symphony Orchestra project with the incredible @roderickcoxconductor ✨

Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 and Richard Strauss’ Ein Heldenleben - so much work and music, and so worth it in the end.

First picture is our lovely oboe section, and last video is us pretending we can do some decent singing 🤓 by @oboelola

laughter.. Just wanted to save all of it here 😋
