Project RBS has just been published in the latest @betapluspublishing book • the World’s Best 80 Interiors from around the Globe•
I remember purchasing their exquisite books several years ago, so this is a special milestone 💫.

RBS is a project that’s dear to my heart: we got to combine a mix of materials, cultural references and I loved designing the kitchen island to mimic a drawer cabinet. It was really tailored to the clients and their way of living.

Happy to see it among so many gorgeous projects.

The most comfortable hotel stays feel like someone thought of everything. The bathroom that makes you pause. The bar joinery you can't quite explain but can't stop touching. The room with a story that reveals itself slowly.

That's exactly the philosophy behind interior design studio @obradovstudio: a narrative first, then a considered flow, layers of material, bespoke detail, and that one surprising element that guests will talk about long after checkout.

This year Obradov Studio will be shaping the story of our Hotel Innovation Stage.
It began at the Independent Hotel Show Amsterdam, where Jelena, her team and partners brought it to life for the first time. This autumn it travels to London, reworked for a new space, ready to host another set of exciting talks.
5–6 October 2026 @ Olympia London. Come experience it.

• BRING IT BACK •
The jewelry box is crossing the pond! This past April we designed a layered stage for @indhotelshowams, and I’m excited to say the organization has asked us to bring it back for the London show this October.

Fair design is a different beast than complete interiors, as it has a much shorter life. So I’m glad the design and materials get another round. We’re making the final tweaks for the London location and a new audience now…

Catch it at @indhotelshowldn on October 5 & 6.

Swipe to see me excited in builders boots!

An Amsterdam residence by Obradov Studio, photographed by Studio Aest.

Designed for a young family with French and Moroccan roots, the home brings together subtle references to Paris and Marrakech through a layered palette of soft-toned walls, mouldings, botticino stone, terracotta lamps, oak wood, alabaster lights and a Moroccan wool rug.

At the centre of the home is a kitchen designed not as a traditional cooking block, but as a gathering space - connecting function, materiality and atmosphere in a way that feels warm, personal and lived-in.

So special to see this project featured among 60 interiors from around the globe.

What a whirlwind this past half year • finishing this dear Project NA (in need of a more appropriate name!), designing for the @indhotelshowams and in the midst of projects with repeat & new clients. There are no pics of all the unsexy admin this all requires, but here is a shot of a mobile I got to make at a Carl Hansen workshop in Copenhagen (also a highlight of the past months).

Now ready to take time slowly, soak up the sun and sea, do some VAT admin in between … will she read a book or not?!… stay tuned ;)… by @obradovstudio

• Ready for a game of ♟️? • Meet the new pawns to our unique Pion sidetable collection. Next to the oak version, there’s also a walnut and upholstered version now. And an extra tactile element: the upholstered leg is padded for extra softness.

Ready to play? by @obradovstudio

• Notes from the show • I’m still replaying what we got to design for the @indhotelshowams, an Interior Story across a stage and a stand. For me, design starts with understanding the user, discovering how they want to feel in a space, and then giving them more than they imagined. That idea crosses from residential, to hospitality, and for us now also stage design. Practicalities included, and there are many on a stage, I can tell you ;).

Visitors paused in front of the Hotel Innovation Stage and told us it felt mesmerising, struck by the level of detail for a fair stage. Others wandered around our stand and stayed a while, recognizing the feel of a boutique hotel, all four square metres of it ;). And the dearest compliment came from the audiovisual guys: “Just want to say this is the most beautiful stage I’ve worked at, it feels like a living room.”

If you’re shaping something where guests or visitors should feel that way, I’d love to hear about it.

Thanks again to our lovely partners: @artewalls @artimo_textiles @interiorbigbeads @bloomandwolf_amsterdam @decospan @duran_interiors @ergoform.nl @vanbesouw_

Step inside the Innovation Stage at the Independent Hotel Show Amsterdam, designed by @obradovstudio ✨

Created by interior designer Jelena Obradov, the space was designed as an immersive hospitality environment where ideas, design, and innovation came together. More than just a stage, it was a place to pause, connect, and explore the conversations shaping the future of independent hospitality.

Her vision for the Innovation Stage reflected this perfectly, bringing this year’s theme, Shaping Tomorrow: Where Innovation Meets Independent Spirit, to life through thoughtful, experience-led design.

From future-focused talks to inspiring discussions around hotel trends, technology, sustainability, and guest experience, the Innovation Stage was at the centre of the conversation throughout IHA Amsterdam 2026.
