September 27th 🗓️• 365 days ago our lives flipped upside down • Last September his childhood changed • Last year our families lives changed • ONE year ago our four year old was diagnosed with stage 4 T cell lymphomaNo matter how it’s said our child is still fighting his fight💪🏻 he’s been forced to do so many things he hasn’t wanted to do, so many things he has to do because he hasn’t wanted to. We have told him from day one “you can do hard things”. He has proven that God is so good, thousands of people praying for him all the time and he is proof that God is so good. His mass that showed up on a CT scan a year ago measuring 10CM is now 5MM. He is responding so well to treatment, he hasn’t had it easy just in a year we’ve spent over 100 days in the hospital, every major holiday but one in the hospital, spent our one year wedding anniversary in the hospital and every month in the hospital it has been such a hard year. Thru it all we’ve created so many relationships with other families, nurses, staff and foundations. We’ve had so many amazing opportunities to do as a family. But a reminder is we wouldn’t be given these opportunities if our child wasn’t fighting the fight of cancer. There is so much good that has come out of this year but also a lot of challenges as well. Thru our faith and commitment to each other we have grown closer in our marriage, our family and friends who continuously show up for us. I am so thankful for everyone who has shown up for us and who continues to check in and support our family. Parker’s Make a Wish 💫We have had the most magical 3 days! We did all 4 Disney parks and loved them all so much 🏰✨Words can’t even describe the pure joy the kids have had the last few days riding all the rides seeing all their favorite characters 💖 it’s so true when people say everything is so much more magical when you’re a parent. My parents came with and surprised the kids and joined us for Disney and seaworld! They’ve been so helpful and we’ve been on the kids’ schedules. The kids have done every ride they’ve wanted to do 🎢 and have loved all the fast rides! Mom + Dad take the town 🌆Had the best staycation birthday weekend with the best friends and a great comedy show! Thankful for my SIL for keeping our house running with the kids and doggie. It always blows my mind how much can happen in just a year. Last year (2nd photo) Parker was in active intensive treatment so close to getting an NG feeding tube 15 pounds smaller and just wanting to be a normal kid, Blakelee was struggling with self regulating at school with constant change in routine with Parker in and out of the hospital. And now a whole year later Parker is at a healthy weight, stronger than ever both kids just thriving and just living their best lives.🎗️💖 #childhoodcancer #childhoodcancerawareness #siblings by @obrien__riley
