Old photo, fresh memories. ๐Ÿ“ธ A while back I put the Forester up for sale. At the time it seemed like the sensible thing to do. Right now I have 4 cars and 1 bike in my name, and honestly, the Forester hasn't exactly been making life easy. The previous owner crashed it in the front and never properly repaired it. Then a scooter rider decided to play Fast & Furious and sideswiped the entire left side of the car. Maintenance isn't exactly cheap either. Then an opportunity came up to buy a project car I've wanted for a long time. Suddenly I had a decision to make: sell the Forester, or sell something else? But when I picked up the new project car and saw the Forester towing it home, I fell in love all over again. โค๏ธ The logical choice would've been to let it go. We just bought a house that's currently being renovated, the project car needs an MOT, bodywork, a full respray and plenty more. Keeping both cars made absolutely no sense financially. So I made a different decision. The daily driver is leaving the fleet. The Honda Accord will be sold. It's not much, but it's enough to keep both the Forester and the project car alive. Then, because project car life wasn't challenging enough already, bad luck struck. Somehow the A/C condenser and radiator decided they no longer wanted to be part of the car. Cue smoke, overheating and another repair bill. ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ Oh, and the MOT expired too. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Luckily it doesn't need much for inspection. The biggest issue is the full straight-pipe exhaust with no catalytic converter. Right now it's getting sorted at @sakurasportscars, including a cat welded into the downpipe, because I need this thing ready for our road trip with @obsidiandrivers at the end of June. And after that? The Forester gets the love it deserves. I've already picked up a new front core support, two good doors and a brand-new rear bumper. ๐Ÿ˜ @mrs_obsidian is going to have her hands full with the paintwork. Or maybe... Since so much of the car needs repainting anyway, maybe it's time for a new colour? ๐Ÿ‘€ Stay tuned. by @obsidian_mr
No filter needed, time for these beauties to go in to winter sleep, the CBR is already warm and cozy in storage. @mrs_obsidian her MR2 will follow soon, Maybe time for some mods this winter? ๐Ÿ‘€ by @obsidian_mr
