*Director Corps Mobilisation, Urges Corps Members to Make Their Service Year Count*

The Director of Corps Mobilisation, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Mrs. Rachel Onomhoare Ideawor, has urged corps members serving in Ogun State to make their service year impactful through community development, personal growth and responsible conduct.

She gave the charge during the unveiling of the Corps Mobilisation Programme at the 2026 Batch ‘C’ Stream I Orientation Camp, Sagamu.

Welcoming her, the Ogun State Coordinator, Mrs. Adewuyi Omolabake Frances, appreciated the visit and briefed her on the progress of the orientation exercise. The Director was also welcomed with cultural dances reflecting her Edo heritage and a martial arts display by the Man O’ War group.

In her address, Mrs. Ideawor commended the corps members for their discipline and high morale, applauded camp officials and staff for their dedication, and acknowledged parents and guardians for their roles in raising responsible young Nigerians.

She encouraged the corps members to remain grateful to God, make meaningful contributions to their host communities and use the service year to acquire skills and prepare for life after service. She urged them to identify their strengths, learn from experienced professionals and take responsibility for their personal development.

On safety, the Director cautioned against unnecessary risks, night journeys and negative peer pressure. She also advised corps members to carry their NYSC identity cards whenever travelling.

Before departing, Mrs. Ideawor presented gifts to corps members serving on selected camp committees, including the Orientation Broadcasting Service (OBS), camp guards, medical team, Man O’ War group, cultural dance troupe and camp court, in appreciation of their contributions to the orientation exercise. by @obsnyscogunstate
