Hard to believe, but one year ago was our first day of principal photography! We were so incredibly fortunate to work with the BEST crew in Alabama. Sure, we had our stressful moments (as all films do), but overall it was an absolute blast and we would do it again in a heartbeat. Over the next few months we’ll be finishing up with post-production and getting ready to play at festivals. We can’t wait for you to see the hard work that everyone put in to this film! Ahem. Our *cinema* manifesto:

1. To create films with heart that are not only entertaining and artistic, but also commercially viable. It’s not art or commerce. It can be both/and.

2. To prioritize our crew and collaborators. Filmmaking is hard, and can oftentimes be grueling work. We want to normalize a 40 hour work week and make ample room for personal lives.

3. To help build up the film industry in Birmingham and Alabama. It is a beautiful state with a lot to offer. We want to stay in Alabama and keep making films with the amazing film community here.

4. To be transparent about the process of filmmaking. We want to document the process of how our films get made and dispel any myths surrounding feature filmmaking.

5. To inspire other filmmakers to make their films. We need MORE original films. Now, more than ever. We want to inspire and encourage other filmmakers as we embark on our own feature film journey.
