Yooo Dallas!!! It was sooo great being out there starting off my weekend!!! I had some folks who I guess only knew me from poetry and hadn’t heard my music!!!!! And they were floored!! Like they said maaammm you raaaapp?!?!? And I said yeahhh I be doing stuffises a lil biitt and wat naawwt!!! Then a lady who was attending whom I didn’t knoooww had her bday party and she told me I need to send her Gifted so she can learn the lyrics so the next time she sees me perform she can sing along with me. Boooyyy I bout became a ghost I couldn’t believe the love this city showed me!!!

So my bus riding friend just thanked me for being someone that made him comfortable while on the ride. I’m just thankful I could be that for a person especially when I feel so out of place all the time. It’s comforting to know that even in my own distress I can calm and heal others.
